A perfect upgrade from Honda will be a CB500 which is a bigger engined Highness. The bike is selling in decent numbers given their dealer network but is crying out for more power. That will be significantly cheaper given the local manufacturing. Let’s hope they oblige.

Any further updates regarding the cb500f from those who visited the showrooms? This would be a good upgrade from the dominar 400 considering there are no other real reliable options presently( overpriced as it may be eventually). Emphasis on reliability.

Just an update from my local bigwing , they're saying the 500f will be ready for delivery in Jan 23. Taking 10k refundable booking amount. Cost on road will be similar to previous cb500x,he has no concrete idea. So this must be 5-5.5ex atleast.

Same was said for the CB500X. But it didn't materialise. Hope fully the Honda guys are serious about launching this bike at this price point this time.

Either ways it is better to wait for the official launch/announcement from Honda

With respect to instagram posts, looks like the bike has been sold in low numbers, with deliveries just starting this month. May be with the Nov. month sales data we will know the actual numbers.

My 390 Duke's old owner took delivery of India's first CB500F. The bike hasn't been launched yet as everyone knows, only select units are being sold off. Hearty hearty congratulations brother @tanmoy1245, I wish you a minimum of 1 lac kms of joy filled rides. And also, please don't sell off the bike just after engine breakin like last time.

Very curious how bikes are delivered without even a soft launch! CB500F is still not even on the company website. How does registration, warranty and insurance work in this case? Have all the paperwork been completed?

Looks to me like Honda imported few bikes to gauge customer demand and is now disposing it off without proceeding with the launch. Hopefully thats not the case. Even I wonder how this is happening. CKD units has to have a saree guard and a front plate holder which are missing here. Also the swingarm sticker says Honda Thai Ltd. And these are the new 2022 500’s(the one which was displayed at Bangalore Bigwing too) with dual rotors at front. Wonder if anyone can do that without an Arai certificate. And motorcycles under 800cc cannot be a CBU right ? I believe a similar rule is in place, though my memory isnt too great these days.

Maybe the owner himself can throw some light on the same

Honda imported 5 CB500F bikes from Japan during starting of the November 2022 and did all the necessary paperwork . Honda provided regular + extended warranty along with the bike and RSA for 1 year which is renewable every year. Insurance also covered with regular process and marked as BS-6 vehicle.

This video is covered by one of my good friend Dheeraj and I am going to publish couple of more videos (@techietravellertanmoy) on deliveries and Honda's future plan on CB500F, where you will be able to know Honda officially bringing it in India during 2nd quarter of 2023.
