Hero MotoCorp seems to have a sporty new scooter in the pipeline. Reports suggest that it could be called ‘Maestro Xoom 110’.



Leaked images suggest, the Maestro Xoom 110 could feature a compact design. The front apron houses a large LED headlamp that has X-shaped LED daytime running lights integrated into it. The tail lamp also has an X-shaped graphic. It comes equipped with a digital instrument cluster as well as cornering lamps.



The Maestro Xoom 110 rides on 12-inch alloy wheels and even has a front disc brake. The scooter features telescopic fork suspension at the front with a single shock absorber at the rear.



The scooter could use the same 110.9cc single-cylinder engine that powers the Maestro Edge 110 and Pleasure Plus. It produces 8 BHP and 8.75 Nm.

When it comes to praising and critisizing Hero, I will absolutely take the liberty to be the first one. Seeing what they are capable of, this seems like a misstep and purely exists as a market-based product. Hero had missed a wonderful chance by reviving the ZiR project. Even better, they could've plonked in that 125cc mill from the Destini. It would've been a direct competitor to the Suzuki Burgman and the pricey Aprilia SXR 125.

I hate this trend of launching products which are pressurised by the marketing department. A sporty 110cc, doesn't make sense to me. Making something that aims to take a slice of the market, making something that stands out uniquely and sensibly, both are 2 extremes. Hero used to mke products that stand out, one of them being the PGM-Fi Glamour. The Achiever was a halo model, but was unique in its own sense. Even if that digital cluster was lent to the Edge 125, it would've been a sensible move. Their recent XTEC models seems like a hard pass on their existing models trying to be relevant. Its like giving a senior citizen a complete spruce up with quirky clothing, a pair of DriftCat shoes and a smartwatch (To those of you who do this already, no offence). It simply seems like a clout move.

Cmon Hero, you're better than this. Put your wide network to a good use.

If its not a upgrade of an existing scooter, should they be launching new scooters ?

I was in the market for a sporty looking 110 CC scooter with front disc brakes. The offerings were surprisingly sparse . I didn't like the edge's design at all. So, I decided to go with the NTorq.

I would've chosen this had it been available.

Hero MotoCorp is gearing up to launch a new scooter called the Maestro Xoom. Here's more information on the upcoming model courtesy of an ICAT (International Centre for Automotive Technology) document.



According to the document, the Maestro Xoom is likely to be offered in three variants: LX, VX and ZX. The new model is slightly larger than the Maestro Edge. It measures 1,881 mm in overall length, 731 mm in width and 1,117 mm in height, and the wheelbase is 1,300 mm.



The Maestro Xoom has a front apron that houses a large LED headlamp and X-shaped LED daytime running lights. The tail lamp also has an X-shaped graphic. The scooter is expected to come with a digital instrument cluster.



The Maestro Xoom will be powered by a 110.9cc, single-cylinder engine that makes 8.04 BHP @ 7,250 rpm and 8.70 Nm @ 5,750 rpm. The engine will be paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).



The scooter will be equipped with a telescopic fork suspension at the front and a conventional shock absorber at the rear. Drum brakes will be offered as standard, except for the ZX variant, which is likely to get a disc brake at the front. All variants will be equipped with Combined Braking System.

Hero Maestro Xoom teased ahead of launch

Hero MotoCorp has released a teaser of the upcoming Maestro Xoom. The new scooter will be launched on January 30, 2023.



The teaser showcases the dual-tone front apron of the Maestro Xoom. It houses an aggressive-looking headlamp which has an X-shape graphic. The turn indicators are positioned on the handlebars.

Last week, we shared an ICAT document detailing the technical details of the Maestro Xoom. As per the document, the scooter measures 1,881 mm in overall length, 731 mm in width and 1,117 mm in height, and the wheelbase is 1,300 mm.



The Maestro Xoom is expected to be powered by a 110.9cc, single-cylinder engine that makes 8.04 BHP @ 7,250 rpm and 8.70 Nm @ 5,750 rpm. The scooter will be equipped with a telescopic fork suspension at the front and a conventional shock absorber at the rear. It will get drum brakes as standard, with a front disc available as an option on the top variant.

Yes,similar design language in my opinion. But I like the look personally . Would this also have horrible ergonomics like the hero pleasure plus?

Both of them are Hero products. One ICE, another one electric bike. So it seems they are trying to maintain a family resemblance or are too lazy to differentiate. Either way, I thought the design looks good.
