Is it just me or it seems like they have done away from the edgy styling that became a trademark of apache lineup. The fairing on the headlight looks like it is from 2005. This makes it look like a stylish budget commuter with obsolete styling.

This bike is a rare sight in Bangalore. How is the engine on this bike. I heard they are quite vibey and is that fixed with bs6 models?

What is the point of having a 160 and a 180 cc bike with the displacement/power/torque figures being so close together to render the exercise useless from a practical point of view. Why not make one, say a 175 cc bike and be done with it and price it at an amount between the two.

Cheers

Absolutely spot on observation. The trademark Apache look of the yesteryears is missing in these newer models. Not able to pinpoint, but it's like Bajaj removing the twin LED tail lamp setup from the traditional Pulsar.

Isn't this the trademark Apache look? I remember old Apache's with this front. I think Apache 200 deferred from this traditional look.

You are right. It was the 4V series deviated from the traditional look of the older Apache. But, the traditional RTR series always had that menacing vibe to its front part. The front fascia of the newer models, according to my perception are cosmetically closer to their commuter siblings.

I never knew Apache 160 2V was a volume product until I read this article. I barely see this bike on Hyderabad roads.
