Thanks itisravi for sharing the pics. This Givi base plate design looks so neat & clean. I am for sure going to opt for this whenever I decide to fit the top box. Will look forward to your guidance then.

The duffel bag is just an ordinary one (not a tail bag specific for biking) that I secured on to the rear seat with a pair of Rynox bungee cords.

OK, understood. I actually mistook the duffle bag for saddle bag

As for the foam grips, I ordered them from ebay (https://www.ebay.com/itm/313959396581). They're similar to the ones from Grip Puppy but at a fraction of the price! They fit perfectly too:

I paid Rs.280. I think the delivery took about a month via India post (no tracking available).
