The upcoming BSA Gold Star 650 has been spotted testing in India once again. The bike is expected to be launched later this year and will take on the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.

The BSA Gold Star 650 is powered by a 652cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 45 BHP and 55 Nm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. In comparison, its main rival, the Interceptor 650 uses a twin-cylinder engine that makes 47 BHP and 53 Nm.

The bike has telescopic fork suspension at the front and conventional twin shock absorbers at the rear. The brake setup consists of disc brakes at both ends equipped with dual-channel ABS.

I read on another portal that Classic Legends has no plans to introduce it in India as yet; the bikes will be manufactured here for the UK market. It is a pity as it seems to be an interesting product with legit retro vibes.

Hope this machine makes it to India. These British classics with their bulletproof British engineering and relatively easy maintenance along with its evergreen vintage looks will ensure that these bikes withstand the test of time and will pass on for generations to come.

They will sell this bike here at a later date. As per the interview with the CEO /MD, they want to release the bike in Britian followed by Europe and English speaking countries (USA, SA), Australasia (Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Korea) and then Asia which will include India.

Re: Interceptor 650 rivalling BSA Gold Star spotted in India

Have been spotting this bike often in last 2 weeks. On all occasions, it was at a crossroad so couldn't notice its exhaust sound. Test bike doesn't wear any camouflage and can be easily mistaken as RE bike due to chrome bumpers.

There are plenty of review videos in YT from UK where the bike was launched recently.
Overall, from the videos, it seems to be a good bike to chug along.
