TVS Motor Company is gearing up to launch a new motorcycle in the Indian market on July 6, 2022.
While details are scarce, reports suggest it could be either a naked version of the Apache RR 310 or the rumoured TVS Zeppelin.
The naked version of the Apache RR 310 will be based on the BMW G 310 R. It could receive some cosmetic changes and is likely to be equipped with the latest hardware, including a fully adjustable suspension.
The TVS Zeppelin was unveiled in its concept form at the 2018 Auto Expo. It was TVS’ idea of a cruiser and was powered by a 220cc single-cylinder engine producing 20 BHP and 18.5 Nm. It even came with an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) offering an e-boost function.

If it's the apache 310 naked, shouldn't TVS be hyping it up even more? I thought it was going to be the new flagship apart from the fully faired version. Surprisingly the fully faired apache 310rr is not meeting the expectations in terms of numbers even though it is a good product. With the BMW version of the 310rr on the horizon, hoping its the TVS version of the BMW 310r which is going to be launched on 6th.
Lack of any evidence has left media houses guessing Zeppelin or naked version of the Apache RR310. With the tagline #newwayoflife I guess and hope it to be TVS' version of the G310GS ADV. After all the ADV segment is gaining a lot of attention recently and TVS lacks an ADV product in its lineup. But a Zeppelin Hybrid is rather interesting.

The 3 possible outcomes are all probable and interesting in their own right.
1. The ADV segment is booming with KTM's fire breathing 390 ADV and the smaller 250 ADV, Mahindra Group (via the Yezdi Adventure), Suzuki with the V-Strom 250 and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 410 being long standing king of the segment. Thanks to the G310GS we know that the TVS/BMW 310cc Single performs well in an ADV style bike.
2. A naked RR310 (most likely named the RTR310) would be a natural evolution for TVS' most successful performance bike, the RTR200 4V.
3. If they launch the Zepplin 310 it would be the most powerful sub 500cc cruiser on the market (if you exclude the absurdly overpriced Benelli 502C) and TVS could try and steal sales from the likes of Royal Enfield and Yezdi/Jawa but it would be too expensive. The RR310 is already about 3.25 On-road Bangalore and if they do launch a 310cc cruiser I don't see them pricing it less than 3 lakh on-road bangalore. Plus I feel a lot of customers would be tempted to spend that extra bit of money and get a Interceptor 650 that comes with twice the engine and 14 more bhp.

TVS has been beating the 100-150CC for a very very long time.
What they need right now is a twin that can match up to RE's 650.

Hopefully it will be the Zeppelin with 310 motor. Here, lifestyle with respect to motorcycle is almost always directed towards a tourer/touring, like the Bajaj avenger ads. Can't wait for this to be unveiled. :Cheering:
I doubt it would be Zepplin or even a cruiser. Cruisers aren't sought after these days. It could be a retro styled roadster or a scrambler since those are selling well lately.
Although I'd love to see an ADV from TVS.
Mostly a retro themed motorcycle with Retron name plate.

Rumour: TVS Ronin 225 cruiser to be launched on July 6
Last week, we reported that TVS was planning to launch a new motorcycle on July 6. Soon, there were speculations suggesting that it could be the Zeppelin. However, as per a new report, TVS is likely to introduce a new 223cc cruiser, called the Ronin 225.
The report states that the TVS Ronin 225 will feature a retro design. The bike is expected to come equipped with a circular LED headlamp with a T-shaped LED daytime running light and a circular instrument console.
It has also been speculated that the Ronin 225 could be powered by a 223cc single-cylinder engine paired with a 5-speed gearbox. It could feature upside-down fork suspension and a rear mono-shock as well as disc brakes with dual-channel ABS.

haha! A couple of days ago, I was lamenting the loss of another crusier motorcycle in the Intruder thread. This is welcome news!
The above are the pics of Zeppelin concept showcased at AutoExpo 2018, just like the Akula concept showcased in case of Apache RR 310. The actual bike may be different and according to the previous rumours, it will have a circular headlamp. It will compete with the Avenger 220, I believe.
Looks like the July 6th launch will be the zeppellin. The TVS website seems to be optimised for the zeppellin key word.
Looks like the cat is out of the bag.
