Now this is interesting.
We're getting "Retron" neo-retro motorcycle as well as "Zeppelin" cruiser tomorrow?

Somehow I liked the name RONIN. Now that's not there on the word puzzle. But yes very interesting if we get two motorcycles.

As for TVS,
1. They don't have a vehicle that resembles a scrambler or Neo Retro and they seem to address this segment. In fact, I am happy that an Indian OEM is trying have vehicles in many segments compared to "who we all know".

2. Let the vehicle get launched, let TVS define the target audience and then we can form opinions on how good/bad the vehicle .

This underwhelming contraption very well deserves every single bit of criticism meted out to it. Reason, we expected much better from TVS and they are very much capable of it. I just hope that the real launch puts forth a completely different and a much better motorcycle than the one pictured in this leak.

We all know who and for what purpose such leaks (this looks like a proper print ad) are carried out. In this leaked picture, this doesn't resemble a scrambler/ neo-retro motorcycle one bit and would require quite a bit of modifications to get into that guise. The question is, would anybody make the effort and does this masterpiece even warrant such an effort? Most certainly not!

Indian OEMs have been much successful than you think in belting out products which look much better than this, adorn a much more mature profile, or urge one to perform custom modifications to achieve a desired look. TVS is most certainly not one of those OEMs, at least not yet.

Not everything is for everyone.

Fact of the matter is, this retro stuff, specifically scrambers will always be half-assed bikes because they're based mainly on fads and not as much on utility.

If you want a real scrambler, get a dualsport type bike. Again, parroting Fortnine here because it's the damn truth.

A little more than 3 hours to launch and some more teasers being shown.

Mountains beaches highways etc. Am still hoping against hope we will se an adv.:D

Mountain-check, beach-check, looks just like the teasers the VStrom 250 put out.

Perhaps if they copied the (rather lame) concept, they might have copied the (not bad) bike too and your wish will come true! :)

It is here, Ronin.

Ronin pricing.

From the pictures it looks like a cross between CB350 RS and the FZ-X, but will reserve the judgement until I see it in flesh.
PS: I am digging those rear view mirrors, I know there are few after market ones which look like that, but these are really good looking and from the pics they seem to wide enough to be really useful.

So no adv afterall. This looks somewhat like honda highness. Not a fan of that Genre. :disappointed

No worries here I think. The engine is a square configuration and the bike weighs appreciably lesser. So, the ride will likely be livelier.

This is not a RE classic or CB350 challenger. I think TVS just gave us the XSR that Yamaha failed to bring here.

.......
.......

The presentation was a total cringefest with Babuji trying to squeeze in marketing keywords into his technical presentation, and then getting a rapper to give us the specs on the bike, while a dead audience looked on...

The bike itself looks great. Pricing seems a bit on the higher side compared to the pulsar250 but it does come with a lot of nice bits and bobs.

Interesting design choice by TVS. Notice the "gap" between the headlight and the instrument cluster is way too much. The low set headlight also make the bike look a little smaller in pictures at least. The red colour looks cool nonetheless!

TVS Ronin website is up now.
https://www.tvsmotor.com/tvs-ronin

Only the top variant has dual channel ABS, adjustable levers and smart connectivity.

Attaching the brochure here.

Adventure type bikes are the hottest segments at the moment, but I commend TVS for trying something different from Apache series and bringing a host of accessories. It is almost 7 months and Honda still yet to bring any accessories for CB300R.

The mirrors look decent and I will check whether the mirror and adjustable levers would fit the CB300R or not. The stock CB300R mirrors are a bit too short.

Agreed, the Ronin is more neo-retro naked than retro cruiser.
