Re: Ownership Review | 2022 Yamaha Aerox 155 | Racing Blue

Can you show us the GPS mount please? Even I need one. Another question - if I disconnect the module will it throw up any error message?

Re: Ownership Review | 2022 Yamaha Aerox 155 | Racing Blue

Can someone help me with a good service center in Bangalore? My scooter is jerking really bad on slow speeds or when moving from a stop.

I would need a shop to fix some external lights too since the stock is as good as non-existent.

Re: Ownership Review | 2022 Yamaha Aerox 155 | Racing Blue

In a first - my other half took the Aerox to join a breakfast ride with a Bangalore based riding group yesterday. It was a pre-IBW ride and she seemed happy with the performance of the Aerox in that sea of motorcycles.

Quite interesting to see how the Aerox is inspiring her!

This is the setup waiting to go in once the mirror nuts arrive - the center mount is from HYPERTOURER and the R15 mirrors and mobile phone pouch is procured separately.

Is there a possible suspension upgrade which allows us to upsize the wheels on this? 15 or 16 inch wheels will make transitioning from a bike that much easier.

Okinawa has a premium offering that comes with 16 inch wheels and it makes a world of difference in handling.

You will have to check in the South East Asian markets - where the Aerox is extremely popular as the NVX 155. Even 17 inch wheels are popular modifications for the Aerox!

Personally, wouldn't advice a sidewall downgrade for Indian conditions. Secondly - hope you have taken a longer test ride to see if you are able to adapt?

My main ride is a Tiger Sport 660 and it feels natural when taking the Aerox out occasionally- whereas on my old Meastro it used to feel like an out-of-control toy for the initial few kms of making the switch. Weight distribution makes a ton of difference and the Aerox does not have the light front end that most scooters do.

This is the exact reason I am only considering an Aerox. Otherwise will have to buy a bike as planned earlier. But will have to check out the mods available before hand as I plan to use it for milk delivery, which currently I am doing on my Bullet. It would be great if saddle stays are also available, but I guess a 70L tailbag would also be enough and also saw a few pictures in this thread where a guy has managed to fit the same 70L Viaterra tailbag in the front as well. 2 of those bags would be awesome for my use case.
Thanks for the suggestion. Will check the mods available for NVX155 on Google and if big wheels are available, then that will be the first upgrade I do.

Had a very busy week and could only manage to fit it yesterday night. Very solid mount, held by the mirror bolts and all four screws of the visor assembly.

Here are some pics - though will post some better pictures over the weekend.

Note: Although HYPERTOURER suggested me to go with R15 V1 mirrors, I got these compatible aftermarket ones from Amazon since I couldn't go to the ASC in the mornings. Not sure if I'm liking how these look. Will try them for a few days and revert to the R15 V1 mirrors if needed.

3 Way adjustable mirror and tire hugger upgrade on Aerox:

Parts were sourced from Hypertourer and installed at a local mechanic. I also got my third service done at Whitefield Yamaha Mahadevapura.

Re: Ownership Review | 2022 Yamaha Aerox 155 | Racing Blue

Anyone in here done a front disc upgrade? I want to do one in the coming weeks, namely try and give me more bite and braking power on the front for higher speeds, and without messing with the ABS or anything else. What exactly should I be looking for? I see different size discs available, words like lotus and petal thrown around.

For someone without a whole lot of knowledge on this who just wants more braking power, what should I do?

Re: Ownership Review | 2022 Yamaha Aerox 155 | Racing Blue

Does anyone know if Yamaha is planning an update to Aerox for 2024? I am planning to book one but wont mind waiting if some upgrade is coming.
I also read some conflicting reports that the suspension of 2023 model is better than 2022 - is this the case?

Is this battery the normal 12V lead acid battery that any 2w has or something different?
I saw few posts on battery change around 1year of ownership. Isn't it too early for a battery failure?
Based on earlier user reviews I was thinking hard suspension was the major con, but this battery drain issue for unknown reason is bigger than that causing down time.
I was about to take a test ride next week, but now I am thinking should I really take it.

This is a normal 12V battery https://www.amaron.in/battery/two-wh...a/aerox/petrol. Cant comment bout others, but mine was because of very low usage (almost 1000 kms in 12 months). Hard suspension is surely an issue, but resolvable.

Battery failure issues (happened with me also) was due to the communications module. When the bike is not being used, the communications module still draws power and over a couple of weeks - this leads to complete drain.

I removed the module and faced no issues with over two months of zero usage (same stock battery, just recharged at the dealership after the first drain). I find the mobile app gimmicky so not missing out on anything by doing do!

Thanks. Is this module only for the mobile? I'd be happy to disconnect it too. Hope this wont throw up error messages

Yes. This is only for the app.

I have had no issues so far, and I disconnected the module (and taped it up to avoid any issues during pressure wash) in December 2022.
