Re: 2022 Honda CB300R BS6 launched at Rs. 2.77 lakh Got my one month old CB serviced yesterday, and was charged 2400, including 400 for a hassle-free pickup and drop the same day. Honda service personnel continue to impress with great courtesy, although the pickup was delayed by a couple of days, but they did stay in touch.
Gremlins so far:
- the rubber buttons on the dash are near impossible to use on the move as they need a really hard press to activate. Simpler, clickable buttons should have been used.
- Coming from a car, bumpy roads in Bangalore feel very uncomfortable on the CB, although over broken patches, the suspension is perfectly compliant
- horn button placement is neah impossible for me to reach, so barely use it
- handlebar is tough to lock, key often gets stuck. The service may have solved this.
- dash is hard/bland to read during the day, but looks nice in the dark
- this bike should have had some sort of navigation system. Have already got lost in the city once
Other notes:
- For the run-in period, FE is a high 39Kpl
- After 200kms, the engine feels really nice at all speeds, though haven't exceeded 90kph so far. Its just a peach in the city. I'm yet to properly explore its handling, since I've come back to biking after 7 years, with my last bike being the excellent R15 gen 1.
- Styling is spot on and delicious. I have the red one.
- I have a bad upper back but no back pain so far, hence I know this is the perfect bike for me
- the total lack of mass is a blessing
- third gear is very tractable, even manage to cross speed-breakers at times
- the Honda leather key chain given as part of a nice gift box is just fab
The second pic is of the bike staring back at my car :) |
