Looks like tubeless spoke is for special edition - the white camo one looks like. The golden yellow one looks really cool.

Exactly my point here. What does that cross spoke mean? If these are tubeless and still has the spokes, does it mean the benefits of both agility and durability? I was with the assumption that tubeless wheels do not have spokes and it's a jugaad arrangement!

Tubeless and Spokes means a wheel that's best of both worlds. Easy puncture repair because of tubeless and higher durability over rough terrain because of spokes.

The cross-spoke ones (white with graphics) is tubeless. The others are tubed. I think the main advantage with tubeless is easier puncture repairs. Not sure if the agility/durability is impacted either way.

Can someone explain the complexities involved in tubeless spoke rims? I was just going through some after market tubeless spoke rims, oem replacements and they seem to be priced quite steeply.

Is the cost a result of some technical expertise in manufacturing or has the tech been patented resulting in OEMs having to bear higher production cost? Seeing that bikes bike the ktm 390 adv etc have opted for tube spoke rims and the spied tubeless spoke rim being optional on the new Himalayan, are we looking at an accessory cost upwards of 35k?

Tubeless spokes have been available in V-Storm(not the 250) & some more premium bikes in India for sometime. Nowadays even 390 adv gets them. Truly best of both worlds, rigidity of spokes & puncture-fixing ease of tubeless.

Good to see 2-3L segment bikes getting these

2023 KTM 390 ADV (SW variant) is not tubeless. Its a tubed set up. The tyres are tubeless type but the set up still has tubes because the wheel is not tubeless compliant.

You are right. I mistook the EU version for Indian. It does get tubeless spokes in Europe I guess as per this website : Link


So for now only premium off-roaders get it in India. Himalayan 452 would be first one to give it in mid-budget segment.

Those tires on the bike seem to be tubed ones, the spokes are not crossed like how its on the leaked photos...

So, in all probability, tubeless spoked wheels are an option/accesory.

It is not necessary that all tubeless tires have spokes that are not in the center. Many tubeless wheels have spokes in the center - like KTM 1290. You see that fat ridge in the center of the rim, it could be raised because spoke is not going all the way through.

Likes of Honda Africa Twin gets the tubeless spoke wheels. It's good to see that RE is getting that option for new REH.
And is that a TFT what we see here! Guess it'd have riding mode as well. Overall, it sounds pretty exciting to have such features on this REH.
Long time to be spent on the fence, need to wait for launch, ride reviews, long ownership reviews etc..

Have been checking out the 450 updates and seeing a lot of RE videos on Youtube. The effect of these 450 scoops is that I have fallen in love with the maroon Bullet and that Helcyon green classic 350. The white Himalayan looks the best.

This is the first time I have noticed tubeless spoked tyres and I’ll go against the tide and say that the tubeless spokes are looking ugly (tubed spokes are looking good though).

Navigation pod is a thoughtful touch. This 450 is going to be a sure success.
