Re: How many bikers in here and what do you ride?

WoW. Happy to find a bikers thread

2004 Pulsar 150 DTS-i - Loved it! Was never a biker kind of guy. Was always into cars. But this baby transformed me! I sort of became a bike touring nut. I had a Zen for everyday use, so this became my weekend getaway ride!! Did the most amazing escapades on it. Took it all sorts of places, from long highway blasts to proper off roading! Didn't realize how attached I was to it until I sold in May 2011 (almost cried as the bloke drove away with it).

Now - Royal Enfield Thunderbird! My pride and joy. A proper touring machine!! The thump, the feel, the monster torque and the buzz on the inside! Waiting to do a few cosmetic tweeks to make it a bit personal and estheticaly appealing to me. Of course the comfort is mind-blowing on long rides!

Dream Bike - Take an old 1960's BMW R60/63 (flat twin) type bike, restore it and use it as a weekend tourer!

P.S. - I'm just not the sports bike type guy. I wouldn't give away my 'bird away even if someone gave me a Ducati for free

Re: How many bikers in here and what do you ride?

1994-2007: Yamaha Rx-100 (as a pillion)
2007-2012: Yamaha Rx-100 (On the riders seat)
All the years the bike was with me, enjoyed it till the maximum and never ever had a breakdown (except water in the carburettor sometimes) and has never let me down. Till its last day with us it used to start in one kick, even if it had been lying idle for a month or so!
I so regret selling it!!
Was my first and the only love, although many other crushes!
Had to sell it in January 2012 and was so disappointed that I didn't see it off and went to a friends place.
Had planned to go for another Yamaha love: the R-15, but the upgrade has stopped me from doing that because of the pillion seat.
Now planing for Pulsar 200NS, waiting for the rains to leave India!

I guess you meant 2009 to 2010!

May be you are right! the only reason i thought it might be 2010 is because it has two 0's as in 2001 and there might have mistake in typing the 0 before the 1. I might be wrong!
Hope I have not confused you out! Do take it on a lighter note.

Girish, you have been digging up a few threads started by Rtech. I don't know, but I too was reading up quite a bit of what he had posted earlier.
