The management is said to have been approached by various technology companies to introduce LML in the EV market. The brand is backed by large investments with an investing partner.

According to Dr. Yogesh Bhatia, MD & CEO, LML Electric, the company is actively working on product development strategies in order to introduce a new product in the urban mobility space.

LML was set up in 1972. In 1983, the company had partnered with Piaggio Vespa Italy to introduce 100cc scooters to take on Bajaj.

Best wishes to LML motors, hope they make a mark in this field. It is surprising that none of the large players are exploring biofuels / blended fuels as the government is pushing for that.

I sincerely hope the business model doesn't revolve around importing chinese kits, assembling them locally and plastering an LML badge on top.

LML ties up with Harley-Davidson's factory to build EVs

LML Electric has partnered with Saera Electric Auto to manufacture electric vehicles at its Bawal factory in Haryana. The latter used to manufacture motorcycles for Harley-Davidson in India.

The tie-up with Saera Electric Auto is said to be one of the first steps in the brand's transition into a 100% 'Make in India' company by the end of 2025. The manufacturing plant is spread over 2,17,800 sq. ft. and has a capacity of 18,000 units per month.

As you may be aware, Harley-Davidson announced its exit from the Indian market last year. The brand has since stopped manufacturing bikes at the Bawal factory and has appointed Hero MotoCorp as its distribution partner.

Re: Rumour: LML to foray into electric 2-wheeler segment

Interesting! LML Star is a re-incarnation of a legend. My father had an LML Star in foliage green in the 90's. I think LML is trying to re-create the rivalry of this LML Star with Bajaj Chetak in the e-scooter domain.
