| Hero MotoCorp: Over 1 lakh units sold in a single day! Hero MotoCorp sold more than 1 lakh motorcycles and scooters in a single day on August 9, 2021.  It was the highest ever sales recorded in a non-festive period and included retail sales in the domestic as well as international markets. According to the company, the record sales were achieved thanks to the demand across markets and different segments including entry, deluxe, premium as well as scooters. The bikemaker stated that the daily average sales of scooters doubled on August 9. There was a spike in demand for the Maestro Edge 125, Destini and Pleasure 110. In the motorcycle segment, models like the Glamour XTEC, Splendor and Xtreme 160R contributed to the overall sales volume on August 9. |

| Re: Hero MotoCorp: Over 1 lakh units sold in a single day! Well indeed its great for the industry overall, if we keep witnessing such days more often! However you also cant help but wonder, are these milestones made to achieve ONLY for PR exercise / Promoting their brand / Stock valuation / Pleasing senior bosses? Was it just a coincidence that they were celebrating their 10th year of acceleration (separation from Honda) on the same day or the fact that Mr Munjal had to showcase their EV model later during the day or was it because of the freebies/discounts being given around that period! We may never know. Well done HERO  |
