Unique VW V4 motorcycle Geir Brudeli, the guy behind the Brudeli Leanster built the bike for his masters degree in 1992. He moulded a new crankcase in aluminium to accept parts plus an extra camshaft from a VW Beetle engine in a V4 configuration.
The power from engine to a Volvo gearbox gearbox is with a belt. The gearbox was later replaced with one from Harley Davidson. The rear wheel is chain driven.
The rear wheel was made from a car steel wheel with aluminium discs and self made aluminium hub.
I have heard the engine idling on a bench and sounded like 3 Harleys idling side by side
There was a fire in which his workshop burnt down but the bike was saved with some damage. The bike is now stored away for the time being.
This is about the only picture that exists of the motorcycle. |
