The Svartpilen 125 is based on the KTM 125 Duke. It is powered by a 125cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that puts out 14.3 BHP and 12 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The bike comes equipped with adjustable upside-down WP Apex forks at the front and has a mono-shock at the rear. It comes with disc brakes at both ends and is equipped with ABS.

Bajaj's Chakan factory also produces the Svartpilen 250, Vitpilen 250, Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401.

I am sure there is a 100 CC variant in the pipeline too based on CT100's motor.

Just like the 401 twins, the 125 might also be for export. But to be honest, its quite a good move (not for the indian market) because the 250 can be a bit too much to handle for the 18-22 beginners category and the duke 125 might be too bulky and intimidating to female riders. Eagerly waiting for the 401's to be launched here
