TVS has launched the 2021 Apache RTR 160 4V. The bike is available in two variants and is priced at Rs. 1,07,270 (drum brake) and Rs. 1,10,320 (disc brake) (ex-showroom).



The Apache RTR 160 4V comes with a new dual tone seat with carbon fibre pattern and LED headlamp with claw styled position lamps.

The Apache RTR 160 4V is powered by a 159.7cc, single-cylinder, 4-valve, oil-cooled engine that produces 17.38 BHP @ 9,250 rpm and 14.73 Nm @ 7,250 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.



The overall weight of the bike has gone down by 2 kg. The disc variant weighs 147 kg, while the drum variant tips the scales at 145 kg.

The Apache RTR 160 4V is available in three colour options - Racing Red, Knight Black and Metallic Blue.

Why is it so costly? 3 years ago I bought the 200 4V at 1.10L!!

Hey mate. Same here. RTR 200 4v 3 years back in Bengaluru for about 1.1L.

Since then bikes/scooters have become a lot more expensive mostly due to the inclusion of fuel injection for complying with the BS6 norms.

You should check out the prices for a few scooters these days to really get the idea.

This week I booked myself a TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.

1.I would like if you guys can recommend me some good vfm disc locks, U-locks,etc. I would not like to use any heavy bulky chain solution. I am a bit paranoid about my bike being stolen

2. The bike has something called a wave bite key. What is that? Is it some sort of immobiliser or just a more secure key pattern design?

3. Is the ~Rs.2k Steelbird SBA-1 R2K(ISI marked) good enough for a 160cc bike? Or should I go for the ~Rs.3.5k TVS X-Pod(ISI and DOT marked)?

4. I have been visiting Team BHP regularly for the past few years though I created an account just a few days back. I always wanted to ask- Why isn't the forum interface updated to something modern? It's really old looking now? Or is it not possible?

I use a simple Padlock .

Buy a helmet which has pinlock visor and has spares available in your city.

I have LS2 FF386 and i am not getting replacement visor.
