Around 27,260 electric two wheelers were registered in India for the year 2020. And with sales of 8,252 units, Hero Electric commanded a Market Share of 30.3% in 2020.

Sales and market share of electric two wheeler manufacturers in 2020 –

Hero Electric was clearly the No.1 OEM in terms of Electric Bike/Scooter sales for the year 2020. It was able to garner a Market Share of >30% last year.

Okinawa Electric ranked second in the list and was able to sell over 5.6k Electric Two Wheelers in 2020. It ended the year with a Market Share of 20.5%.

Ampere Electric, the electric mobility subsidiary of Greaves Cotton stood third in the ranking table and the OEM registered over 4.5k electric two wheelers in 2020.

Hero Motocorp backed Ather Energy was able to register a double digit Market Share in 2020 and sold over 3k scooters last year.

Rahul Sharma’s (Micromaxx) Revolt Intellicorp has had a solid start and sold over 2k electric two wheelers in its second year. It also garnered a Market Share of 7.7% in 2020.

Biggies like Bajaj Chetak & TVS iQube weren’t able to make a big impact in 2020 due to the pandemic and supply concerns.
