Even if this is just a publicity stunt, it is a darn good one!

The contest requires participants to finish a non-veg thali within 60 minutes. One who manages to finish the thali will win a Royal Enfield Bullet worth Rs 1.65 lakh.

The Bullet Thali is a non-vegetarian platter consisting of around 12 dishes made with 4 kilograms of mutton and fish. The dishes include Fried Surmai, Pomfret Fried Fish, Chicken Tandoori, Dry Mutton, Grey Mutton, Chicken Masala and Kolumbi (Prawn) Biryani. The cost of each thali is Rs 2,500.
Don't think anyone will be able to ride a motorcycle after finishing 4 kg of mutton + fish in an hour rl:

60 mins seems a fair amount of time to finish all that off for some of my friends whom I've seen ingesting food like a vacuum cleaner. :D

And yes, they won't be riding a motorcycle after eating all that but sitting on a toilet seat making the signature Bullet bike sound. rl: (No offence to RE fans!)

It is a win-win publicity stunt, marketing for both the bike as well as the restaurant.

The dude from Man vs Food will finish this in 40 mins and ride the bullet home.

Finishing off 4kg of food in 60 mins is a hard ask! Even if 10 people per day take this challenge, the restaurant should be able to recover the cost of the Enfield in less than a week :)

Looks like a spread for a Sumo Wrestler; even if you polish that up, just imagine if the restaurant gives you a refurbished umpteenth hand Bullet at the end of the course, you'll be in no mood for a fight, even if you manage a fight just imagine someone lands a punch in your solar plexus rl: You could call the Bullet the Himalayan Glutton Fat Man Edition!

Reminds me of the food serial Man vs Food on TLC.
In US this is a fad, anyone can take the challenge, and if they finish their name is put up on the wall of fame, but giving away a Bullet that's a first for me.

I wish there was something of this sort down south, I really have started yearning for a Pushrod plus I used to win all of them"Eating Competitions" during school functions, finally a skill I can put to good use!

Not sure if gluttony is condoned in other parts of the country but here we do laud it. :D

Challenge was accepted by a dude named Somnath Pawar and he won the bike as well:

I hope the subscribers to the "Fat to Fit" and "Weight loss thread" take notice and attempt it. :D

PS : I would risk my life by taking this challenge for a Triumph Street Triple or Ducati Multistrada. For a RE350?. Naah.

Anyone can take this challenge provided they don't ask to pay for it, in case if one loses. rl:

Interesting challenge though I've decided to go the lean route recently. Even finishing 1 kg seems impossible for me now.

Off topic - Looks like the Bullet Thali is handmade for Saapattu Raman, easily among India's most voracious eaters. His son isn't behind and both can consume great quantities of food at one sitting.

Those unaware about his eating exploits can visit his FB page here.

The giveaway bikes lined up outside Shivraj Hotel & the winner finishing the THALI !

Sapatraman-impromptu foodie; I have come across this guy’s YouTube channel and I’m sure he can win this challenge and I think he has gone way beyond this challenge :p

I had booked the tickets to Pune from Bangalore and spoke to the restaurant guy in advance about the last date for the challenge just to take part in the challenge, but my mom asked me why and then all hell breaks loose rl: . Damn corona:Frustrati .

Punekars, the last date for the competition is till Jan 26-27
