Just curious if these bikes are already registered on the name of hotel owner or someone related to them. Would this mean that the winner will appear as the second owner on the RC? Not that the winner will mind, but I am inquisitive how these things are managed. Does the MV act have a provision to buy the bikes (without declaring owner name) as an award/gift to be registered at a later date once the rightful owner is identified.

An average person will have a stomach of about 1-1.25 kg to fill. Exceptions can go to 2.5 kg with a very good metabolism to digest. IMO, 4kg in 1 hour will be quite something to watch.
Interestingly, the human body does much better with liquids. One can easily chug down 2 liters of water in under 10 mins when really thirsty. Maybe a huge smoothie of 4 kg will improve the chances here.

Worry not, a restaurant in Delhi has you covered with a similar challenge and with Veg thaali. You also get the reward of Rs. 2 lakhs in cash so this may also appeal to all non bullet fans alike

https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/...as80271560.cms

On the flipside though, you only have 30 minutes to finish this one and the total weight of thaali is 18+ kgs ( not sure how much the food weighs but it should be atleast half the thaali weight I guess)
The challenge in Pune seems more doable to me.

For those who followed the Baba ka dhabha story of rags to riches few months back, the same youtuber tried this challenge last week

This lady finished 6 Kg steak in 20 minutes, though the contest was for 1 hours. She won $5000 + $1000.

If this challenge is valid for a longer period then maybe BHPians can plan a meet here and attempt to finish this thali.
Everyone can even wear their Team-BHP merchandise, would surely be a fun activity and with the group cheering and motivating each other on, maybe one of us can even finish a thali.

I recall reading about a guy who died when he tried to eat a large number of eggs to win a friendly bet. These challenges are dangerous. It gets attention but 4 kg of food is huge and can seriously damage the body. We consume less than 500 g in every meal.

This deal is only for non vegetarian food, are you by any chance looking for a vegetarian meal challenge?

Is this thali to be taken by a single person?

I agree with you, once should know about their body capacity, medical history etc., before taking up for the challenge.

Re: Bullet Thali: Pune eatery offers Royal Enfield bike if you can finish 4 kg platter in 60 minutes

Man I knew guys back when I was in college who could pull this off ! For heavy eaters this is nothing. 4 Kgs in One hour is like moonwalking in a 100m sprint.

Off topic: If you have seen the Kerala version of Thali (it's called 'oonu'), you probably know it is unlimited rice and curry on the base package. They keep on repeat serving till you ask them to stop. There was a place near our college where we frequented for lunch. The heavy eating of some of my friends back in the day incurred heavy losses for the hotel owners that they had to shut shop !

Is it just me who gets really put off by food challenges? I mean people enjoy food and all that, but I really can't seem to 'digest' having a competition over food! No offence to any enthusiasts. Anyways, if that's how a lucky soul is destined to get his dream Royal Enfield, well and good

There are many Youtubers nowadays who have made a career out of this and roam all over the world doing food challenges. Check out Randy Santel and Joel Hansen on Youtube.
I always thought I could eat a lot as well and I even remember there was this Burger Challenge in one of the restaurants in Pune that I did, but it had a very small time limit. I was able to finish the burger but not within the time limit which was barely 15 min for a foot high burger.
