Ather 450X e-scooter now available in 16 new cities

As part of the second phase of expansion, Ather Energy has launched the 450X electric scooter in 16 new cities which include Mysore, Hubli, Jaipur, Indore, Panaji, Bhubaneshwar, Nashik, Surat, Chandigarh, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Guwahati, Nagpur, Noida, Lucknow and Siliguri.

Ather is fast tracking its plans to meet demand and the Ather 450X will be available across 27 cities by Q1 2021. The company has also been in discussion with retail partners in these cities and has already started scouting for spaces to set up the Ather Grid fast charging network. Currently, there are more than 60 charging points spread across 11 cities.

The Ather 450X is the updated version of the Ather 450. It is powered by an electric motor that has a peak output of 8 BHP and 26 Nm. Ather claims that it will accelerate from 0-40 km/h in 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 80 km/h.

The 2.5 kWh lithium-ion battery that powers the 450X has a maximum range of 70 km on single charge. It takes 3 hours 35 mins to recharge the battery to 80% of its capacity. The battery can be recharged to 100% in 5 hours 45 mins.

B U Bhandari is taking up the dealership at Pune and main showroom is being prepped at Bhandarkar road. Test-drives are available at B U Bhandari Volkswagen / Triumph showroom until the main showroom opens.

I took a test drive and completed my booking. The torque on the 450x is very enjoyable. Brakes are good as well. Since I had prebooked early, I should be getting the series 1 edition. Delivery is expected this month.

Is the vehicle available for one time sale apart from subscription offer? Is there any city wise price list available? Please share it for the benefit of forum members and prospective buyers.

For purchase, battery subscription is removed. You pay full cost of scooter. Cost of purchase can be found at https://www.atherenergy.com/ There is a buy back plan at the end of three years subject to conditions.

You can pay for service every six months at time of service or subscribe for it. If you want to use their charging grid and advanced tracking features, you can subscribe to that service. Details are in the link above.
