Ather 450X deliveries to commence in November 2020

The Ather 450X electric scooter was launched in January this year. The company has now announced that deliveries will commence in the month of November.

Initially, Ather Energy will deliver the 450X in Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Kochi, Kolkata and Ahmedabad. Deliveries in Delhi and Mumbai will begin in December 2020. The e-scooters will be delivered in Coimbatore and other cities in Q1 2021.

The Ather 450X comes with an updated instrument cluster. It's a 7-inch display powered by a 1.3 GHz Snapdragon processor. It now has 4G LTE capability and Bluetooth 4.2. The scooter also gets a side-stand sensor.

The 450X is powered by an electric motor that has a peak output of 8 BHP and 26 Nm. Ather claims that it will accelerate from 0-40 km/h in 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 80 km/h.

Compared to the regular 450, the 450X is more powerful and slightly quicker. It also has a higher gradeability of 20 degrees and is lighter by 4 kg.

The Ather 450X uses a 2.5 kWh lithium-ion battery that has a maximum range of 70 km on a single charge. In Eco mode, range increases to 85 km. It takes 3 hours 35 mins to recharge the battery to 80% of its capacity. The battery can be recharged to 100% in 5 hours 45 mins.

Ather 450X Collector’s Edition revealed, gets new paint scheme and transparent panels. It will be provided to customers who pre-ordered the electric scooter ahead of its 28th January 2020 unveil. Only a few thousand units of the limited edition model named Series1 will be made and production will end by 31st March 2021.
