Just buy the bike and the crash guard. And ride out of there with your own insurance.

Im not sure which colour combination this is but goodness me, what a looker the Meteor is! The pictures from my phone do not do the paint scheme an iota of justice. This was a custom bike built in January 2021.

That was really a good looking bike in this Custom Beige shade. This is a custom color for Supernova apart from Silver, along with the standard Brown and Blue colors.

Re: Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Fireball leaked, now launched at 1.75 lakhs

My first post gentlemen.
Just wanted to add if someone is not aware, there are a lot of colours that are available for customisation in the RE Tablet at the dealerships which we can’t see on our RE App or RE website. For example olive green and glossy black on the Fireball. I booked the latter in Dec but there are phenomenal delays in customised colours and no refund of booking amount.

Re: Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Fireball leaked, now launched at 1.75 lakhs

I'm hoping someone who booked a heavily customized bike suddenly moves abroad, selling their bike for a significant discount caused by having the current owner's name on the gas-tank which nobody wants on their "new" bike .

Re: Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Fireball leaked, now launched at 1.75 lakhs

Anyone over here who’s been facing unimaginable waiting period for the Meteor?
My relative booked one through the MIY app somewhere around December. He was promised a delivery date of feb end. And its almost March end and he hasn't heard back from RE.
Is there anything he can do over here. Any kind of escalation mail does not seem to have any effect.
He’s gotten to a point where he’s considering canceling his Meteor booking and switching to the Honda Highness.
Would not be that great of a decision on his part. But he’s saying the time thats been lost riding cannot be regained. I totally agree to what he’s saying.
He’s based out of Mumbai and the dealer in question here is Soniya Motors.

I cancelled my Meteor 350 Fireball Red booking on 3rd March 2021 (originally booked on 8th January 2021) and got the refund within 15 business days. With the rising corona cases and upcoming hot humid season upon us, it was better to cancel the booking.

Re: Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Fireball leaked, now launched at 1.75 lakhs

One request to prospective Meteor buyers. Please don't buy in colour variants as that of 350x and 500x . It is hard to differentiate from distance. That exclusivity isn't there. I saw an yellow one parked on opposite side of road and was finding it hard to differentiate whether it is a Meteor or a TBx.

Re: Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Fireball leaked, now launched at 1.75 lakhs

The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 has been launched in North America, with the bikes expected to hit dealers in both the US and Canada in the next few weeks. Prices in the US for the Meteor 350 begin at $ 4,400 (approximately Rs. 3.30 lakh)

Re: Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Fireball leaked, now launched at 1.75 lakhs

And it comes to an end.

My time as the owner of Meteor has come to an end. I decided to part ways with the bike as my riding posture on the bike wasn't suiting me. More on that in below thread

https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/motor...ml#post5049956

In this period of ownership, I've clocked almost 5k kms with the bike, and never did this gem of a bike let me down. If my posture had suited me, I wouldn't have let go of the bike anytime soon. Would like to throw few points on the bike in the ownership period.

Pros
  • Engine is very refined, and became more refined as I piled up more kms.
  • Crusing between 80-95 is a very breezy affair.
  • Fit and finish levels are very good. No rattles, or loose parts did I encounter.
  • The touring seats are fantastic.
  • The braking is very good, rear one deserves a special mention.
  • I was consistently getting 33-34kmpl in the city, and on long rides shot up to 38kmpl.
  • I felt the headlight is sufficient for speeds upto 90kmph.
  • Handling is good for a cruiser.
Cons -
  • The seating posture is little awkward for city use, although it's not a deal breaker. Crawling in traffic is not as easy as it is on bikes in which one would sit upright/lean forward.
  • Pillion comfort is poor. Very difficult for tall or stout folks to remain comfy in the pillion seat for even 30 mins.
  • In the riding comfort department, I'm unsure whether the bike is a true successor to the TB350, as it feels more a successor to the TB350x. The riding posture is neither of a standard's nor of a cruiser's. So tall/big folks, I suggest you take a long TD before putting your money down on the bike.
This is one bike though I couldn't live with, will always remain in my heart. The bike introduced me to the world of long distance riding, and I made some very good friends in the process. Some parting shots before I sign off from the thread.

Hey Guys
Wanted to enquire if there's a way to reduce the seat height by say 2 inches on the meteor ? Already got the low rider seat.

Hi Karan,
I suppose the RE Meteor has one of the lowest seat height in its class. I do not think so getting your foot down on the bike should be so much of an issue. Since yours already has the touring seat which comes with a low seat height. I don’t think so there are other options to reduce the seat height. And I’m sure if it feels tall, with time you’ll get used to it. Ask me about it! I’m 5’6 1/2” and I ride my friends’ KTM 390 Adventure with ease. Not that I can flat foot it or anything. But that fear is what makes it more thrilling!

Re: Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Fireball leaked, now launched at 1.75 lakhs

I got the delivery of my RE Meteor on Feb 11 in Chennai. The registration was done and i have received the HSRP number plate. Since then i have also successfully downloaded soft copy of RC on MParivahan app. However, i am yet to receive the smart card / hard copy RC. The dealership has informed that there is a huge back log and also due to unavailability of smart cards, it is delayed. I still worried.
1. Is it normal to not get RC even after 3 months.
2. Would soft copy (in app) suffice during police check.
3. Is there a way we can directly check the status of RC at RTO.

I am not sure where i should post this. Request the mod to move the post if it doesn’t fit here.
