re: The KTM 390 Adventure (Gen- 1) Ownership Thread!

There's a huge semi conductor shortage globally. Thats probably the reason why the bikes are in short supply now.

Did you got any update regarding delivery from Sai Service Pune ? I got a call from them that production is delayed and bike might be delivered in second week of April (tentative).

2-3 months. He might have added the "2" to reduce the blow. I almost decided to get a 2021 model but lucky for me, that went out of stock too. The waiting kills.

I have booked on 28th Feb. I think they are trying to soften the blow by pushing delivery date by 7-10 days every week. When i booked they said deliveries will start by 5th March, then 15th, 23rd and now this.

I liked the lite version so much that I got the pro now. Bike is much more rideable at lower rpms, more smoother. It’s a much better mod as compared to the powertronics, which will be mostly for track/drag bikes.

They offer a return policy if you are not happy, I suggest you try it.

Thank you. Looking at getting it fixed over the weekend. Looking at solving the lower end RPM problem to make city commute a lot smoother. Though I rarely take my bike out of the city.

@ OldMalluMonk

A 14T in the front will make your bike even more rideable in the city along with the fuelx. Two best mods that can be done immediately I feel.

Does a 14T put more strain on the Engine on higher revs?

The engine is as it small and strained putting out so much power. I have a habit of changing gears when I’m doing spirited riding close to the redline. However my cruising speeds don’t go beyond 90-95 kmph due to the fear of running into farm animals and humans on the road.

Are you referring to the difference between lite and pro, when you say more rideable/smoother due to switchable maps? My friend got the lite version and is happy so far. He's contemplating pro version as he intends to replace the stock exhaust to either motowings or red rooster performance exhaust kit.

Hi there, no sorry I actually meant the bike is more rideable and smoother as compared to a stock bike.

Regarding the difference between the lite and pro, it just gives you a lot more flexibility to choose maps based on your location and your riding way. I personally love map 7. It’s perfect for Chennai. Aggressive and snappy.

Most of my friends prefer map 5 though. I guess it’s down to a personal preference.

Do you know what's the map number on lite?
Is your bike in stock form or any mods done like aftermarket filter or exhaust?
