re: New Royal Enfield spotted; it is the Hunter 350!

The only question I have seeing this launch, will the alloys be a direct fit for interceptor!!

Low cg doesn't translate to better handling on bikes unlike in cars. Motorbikes are more dynamic and the rider is a major portion of the cg too. Low bikes like most Harleys and the like are generally bad handling bikes as they're not so easy to turn into a corner as opposed to taller bikes. They're however, more stable once you tip it into the turn and can hold their line well.

The front disc brake is at the opposite side. But since both the Interceptor and the Hunter have same 41mm dia forks I think it must be possible if the entire front fork, disc, caliper, wheels are swapped. Interceptor's disc size is 320mm compared to Hunter's 300mm. The rear wheel could be a direct fit since the Hunter's wheel looks similar to the Metero's which is a direct fit on the Interceptor.

Ya the rear is not an issue, just if we can get front too, it’s ridiculous that even after so many years RE has not been able to come up with alloy wheels for the twin.

That said hunter looks a nice bike and should be a good seller for RE again.

So one of the first footage (Raw footage) of now the Hunter rides. Seems agile enough.

Nice touch to have the media drives on a Go Kart track to showcase agility.

re: New Royal Enfield spotted; it is the Hunter 350!

This is a complete makeover, designs are modern & beautiful, will appeal to young audience, and at par with global players. I recall my experience with REs in 2013-16, back then ownership experience was not at par with Japanese. I hope the new generations are niggle free and deliver peace of mind.

If RE can deliver a Unicorn ownership experience, then there is nothing that can stop them, their marketing, appeal, brand perception is way superior others.

re: New Royal Enfield spotted; it is the Hunter 350!

A Royal Enfield that is proportionate and well done. For once, RE has desined a great looking alloy wheel, especially the front, and coupled with a tire size, it totally looks butch and handsome. I feel this one might have better takers than the Meteor, owing to its great street presence and design language.

Though I can see gists of the Honda H'ness here and there, especially the rounded out rear, they've done a great job of camouflaging and just not another emulated one that's on the market.

Good job RE

Cheers!

Decent enough for an RE I guess. The turn ins were still slow. The go-kart course also seemed quite roomy.

One way to know really how agile it is, is to set up a simple slalom course with a few cones or whatever in a straight line at varying distances, have the bike run through the cones, u-turn and back through the cones, get an average time from multiple runs, benchmark this against similar bikes like the Ronin, CB350RS, Yezdi scrambler as well as the better handling nakeds like the Gixxer250 or the CB300R and that'll tell a lot about where it lies in terms of agility.

In terms of style though, RE has hit it out of the park.

Retro variant or the cheap variant.

Drum brake at the back (forget about ABS), cheaper braking equipment at the front, thinner tyres, minimalist console, cheaper switchgear, cheaper looking seat cover, pipe metal grab bar, bulbs all around. Atleast it looks nice with the spoke wheels.

re: New Royal Enfield spotted; it is the Hunter 350!

I wonder if it will indeed be easy to ride in the city ("agility" on a go kart track notwithstanding) and if it will be comfortable for the occasional longer rides on a highway. The foot pegs seem to be a little more rear set compared to competition (Ronin, CB350) and could force the knee to bend more leading to discomfort on longer rides. Also the pillion seat seems a little too small for comfort.

I do want the Hunter to succeed but fear whether it will end up being neither here (city commuting) nor there (highway comfort).

Re: New Royal Enfield spotted; it is the Hunter 350!

I liked the Black colour Retro model more than the others due to its subtle colour scheme, those golden lines on the tank & the spoke wheels that lend the bike a certain old world charm.

I don't have a necessity of a bike since my P220 is just 4 years old & in near mint condition but will consider this if the retro variant comes around 1.7 L on road Bangalore & is more comfortable for a pillion rider as my better half is not a fan of Pulsar's pillion seat.

Bike looks good. As a Meteor owner, I wish the seat on Hunter can be straight replaced to my meteor. It looks much more comfortable for pillion
