Pretty close eh! :)
Range of 75kms better be true range or else lok of we will see Pushparajs on the roads :D
Top speed of 78kmph is good enough for city and better than Chetak (60kmph). Looks decent. But considering it's more expensive than the 450 (2k) and Bajaj Chetak Urbane version, it will be interesting to see how people react to this.
Now for some bloopers...Inattentive graphics designers!!

The full range announced is 75 kms and yet with a remaining 20% battery it's showing a DTE of 30kms!
This is after a ride of 65kms consuming 80% battery. It should be 16kms or 17ms range remaining. :D

9:15AM and Night mode is active!
Unit of speed in Kms? When I was in school it was Kms/hr...has the syllabus changed? lol:
Avg speed of 85km(per hour) on a scooter whose top speed is itself 78kmph!!!
TVS iQube with 75km range & connected features like NTorq. Top speed 78kmph. 0-40 in 4.2 secs. Looks pretty nice:)

Sorry but that is typical BS by the sales person. Ather has not disclosed what batteries they use and trust me I have asked them various times and talked to their team in factory and they have not revealed who the battery supplier is.

Overall the TVS scooter looks like futuristic design, but chetak looks like modern classic, offcourse Bajaj can always launch a KTM Orange color futuristic scooter too.
Ather uses Panasonic cells for battery, i wonder if TVS is using LG. This can make a difference during the lifetime of the scooter. Lots to learn and understand in this area. |
It’s going to come under the Husqvarna brand and will be a futuristic looking electric scooter to complement the Chetak. Sharp lines, euro styling, potentially smarter features, and will be a global product export from India.
Expect tough times for all the other players, these guys are dead serious with their push. If hero does not step in and give Ather more heft than capital funding, it will be a struggle and a squander of their first mover advantage.
I feel that most of the two wheeler and indeed, 4 wheeler EV designs should incorporate just enough to serve the purpose. There is no need for geo tracking, smart connectivity, as it would eat up unnecessary battery juice.
TVS iQube Electric e-scooter launched at Rs. 1.15 lakh - Posts moved to a new thread.
The website needs proof reading. Gradeability seems lower than ePluto scooter that has 11% and so. From the torque figures, it should be more. Also, the torque figures on the website are laughable - 140Nm torque scooter.

Strangely no mention on the warranty?
Battery warranty is mentioned...
Vehicle warranty is not mentioned anywhere. If you want to get the specifications from this and The Chetak Website, it is like playing a treasure hunt. Why can't they upload one brochure/spec sheet in pdf on the website, if they can't display it properly? Both the websites are more of style over substance!
