Need your advice. I have a 2014 Thunderbird 350 which has done around 20k kms. In the last 2 years the usage has dropped considerably and it has not been taken out in the last 2 months.

Thinking of selling it rather keep it and not using it. It will just deteriorate over time. Last couple of times I got it serviced, thinking I will use it regularly, it just did not happen.

Also, it is a KL registered bike and I am in Gujarat. What would be the procedure to sell the bike in Gujarat or should I just send it back to Kerala and sell it there?

One part of me wants to give the bike away and get a gearless for short errands.

The other half tells me not to sell it and use it regularly which i doubt will happen.

Your help and views would be appreciated.

Thanks.
Bro
Has your bike been sold?
If not PM me.

Mate this is a simple DIY activity. This permanent gloss comes from a Lacquer Gloss spray that I procured from Paint store and also heat resistant.
You need to just spray 1 coat and let it dry for 2hours and then spray another coat. Each can costs about Rs.120. I used 2 cans as I also sprayed on the brake caliper and few more black parts.
Spray can needs to be held atleast 6 inches from the paint area and move the can laterally, to avoid air bubbles or spray dripping. Dont spray excess.
Infact my 13 yr old son did this paint job at home.
I have ridden my TB in extreme hot conditions and the glossy paint did not crack or peel off, just that you will get a slight chemical smell. Nothing to worry.
You can procure this:

I gave the same treatment to my Himalayan with a matte finish

I was in your shoes last year. I had the TBTS 2013 model and bought a car. So it wasn't getting used. After 5 years I had kind of moved on from motorcycles and car driving gave me more pleasure and comfort. Also, NCR's harsh weather did not help, if I would have been in Bangalore I never would have sold it.
It is hard to part away from a bike when it was your dream to own one (especially RE's). But I think sometimes we should see the situation on how it is and be practical.

I sold my bike in October last year, the thing is that TBTS are not so popular among people (as compared to classic) that's why it was really hard to find a buyer. I managed to sell mine in 55K, that too because it was in Bangalore. It is gonna be harder for you.

Please send it to Kerela and sell it over there. It would be much easier and cost-effective. Chances of getting a buyer over there are more.
