According to Hero, the design of the Xtreme 1.R Concept was inspired by the precision of an arrow. It features a sporty design finished in a dual-tone of white and black with red highlights. The bike has an LED headlight and LED tail lamp, stepped seat, single side-mounted exhaust and a fairing around the crankcase. Hero claims that the bike has a kerb weight of less than 140 kg.

The current generation Xtreme 200R is powered by a 199.6cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 18 BHP @ 8,000 rpm and 17.1 Nm @ 6,500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

Seems like the inspiration was the Pulsar NS200.

Hero should have hired the people from TVS who created the Draken/Akula concept bikes.

IMHO, Hero would also be better off resurrecting the HX250R concept under the Karizma brand.

The front looks like the NS200.
The exaust looks aftermarket.
Duke from the top angle.
Also, the red spark plug cable reminds me of my old HH Hunk.

IMO the design; tho an eye-catcher, seems a little too busy.

Frankly, Hero should stop producing such quirky designs and begin with simplistic designs.
The first Gen CBZ, Karizma were such cult designs. I even liked the first gen Ambition.

It looks too much inspired like the NS200. What's disappointing is the engine which still remains the same and too underpowered.

The exact same sentiment here. Remove the gaudy red paint scheme and the result is almost Pulsar NS200 look-alike. Not that it's a bad thing!

However, the engine is the single biggest weak point. Feels like a commuter motorcycle and just doesn't do justice to the design. Hope they develop a 250cc soon and share it with the XPulse as well.

Coming to the engine, they should have made it either a proper commuter with good amount of torque and long stroke or just a proper 4v engine which could actually churn more power and run like a proper sports machine. But what they did was just overbore the originally CBZ/Achiever engine and change nothing else, not even the timings.
