Motorcycle design company Vardenchi has opened its first apparel and bike accessories store called Lifestyle Garage at Goregaon (West), Mumbai. The store was inaugurated in the presence of bollywood stars Suniel Shetty, Sameera Reddy, Gul Panag, Gauahar Khan among others.



Lifestyle Garage is spread over 1,000 sq. ft. and offers a range of motorcycle helmets, riding gear, t-shirts, hoodies and shoes. The store also has motorcycle accessories like lights, seats, guards and luggage sets.



According to Akshai Varde, MD/Founder Vardenchi, the company plans to setup a network of Lifestyle Garage franchise stores across India.

These guys really need to learn the basics of retail. I'm big on automotive apparel and thought will visit them yesterday, pick some stuff up and share pics here.

Guess what = they're closed on Sunday . Saturday & Sunday form the biggest grossing days (ask any shop owner).

+1 to that.

1. Its not like they're crazy busy through the week that they want Sunday shut. This is a prime case for a Monday Closed sort of establishment

2. This is not a kiraana store catering to local neighbourhood. Its catering to an interest group and therefore attracting customers from across the city. Sunday open would go a long way in making it easy for people to visit. More so in a city where traffic during the week has become unbearable.

3. Check out their website if you want another drift on unpreparedness. The Apparel and Lifestyle links on top don't work at all.

Varde is a great guy passionate about motorcycling and everything to do with it (he had really interesting bolt on kits for customizing REs back in the day).

But yes - I was also a little frustrated at going through the site and seeing your post on Sunday availability also shows - he needs to approach this retail effort better.

I do wish him luck though. Hopefully this will be a great place in time to pick up cool brand agnostic merchandise.

Thanks for informing. Was planning a visit next Sunday.
Surprising that such shops are closed on weekends. Sometimes by opening shops in excitement does not work. A knack for business and a good vision is also required.
