The forks are what caught my eye too hope KTM is able to make some quality suspension in India for this one. I honestly feel like this color scheme does hide the ungainly looks for the thing. The aftermarket will definitely get ready to fix that headlight which sticks out like a sore thumb apart from that I'm also really digging the new rims + front brake rotor package it looks smashing might have to upgrade my gen 1 bike with those rims and front brake rotor myself after just having upgraded to 2017 spec braking package pre covid

It also worth noting that while the redesigned front may not look very great, its quite bit of functional design. They have integrated winglets into the fairing design. Looks like they have done a fair bit of wind tunnel testing on this.

Yeah and all that is good but this bike just does not do the RC name justice. KTM should name this something else.
Gixxer 390SF maybe ? They are not using it anymore

2022 KTM RC390 First ride by RokBagoros:

Apart from the looks, the bike seems to be built for a purpose i.e., the racetrack. Just like the 2014 one was built.

Edit: I just watched the video. To sum it up,
The bike shown is a prototype
Lots of weight loss(160g on the rear disc and 80g on the front disc)
New TFT (ofcourse), with quickshift+ , cornering ABS and Supermoto ABS
Graphics and paint scheme look ugly, but the atlantic blue shade looks nice(without the orange)
Production bikes will get an orange subframe(prototype had a black subframe)
Adjustable front suspension with 30 step rebound and compression
New soft, grippy and comfortable seat
Redesigned exhaust
New alloys



I am kinda scared about how KTM prices this one. Given their recent price strategy, I am pretty sure this might go north of 3.5 OTR.

I am eager to get these new rims and brake rotors swapped onto my existing BS3 RC390. Hopefully KTM brings the adjustable front forks here too but I have a feeling they will not do that. After all most bike owners don't even know about the pre-load adjustment on their rear shock so KTM may feel like new headlights is enough to give the Indian audience that wow factor.

I initially scoffed at the face of the new RC. However it is definitely growing on me, especially the blue version.

I am glad that the wheels are not orange. Whenever I thought of getting a KTM I felt like painting the wheels black.

It seems the 2022 RC390 is coming with a 3D / 3-axis IMU in contrast to the latest 6D / 6-axis IMU in the latest motorcycles.

690 Duke R from 2013 came with a 5D / 5-axis IMU.
