Got my Glitter and Dust (Chrome) on 20th. Did about 200 kms till now.
Exceptionally smooth and nice ride..
One issue i see is that bike does get heated up - but no hassles as long bike is running. However after I park it at home, fuel tank starts heating up as the engine cools down. Not sure if it is normal with others. Service center told it is common character of interceptor.

should i be worried that fuel tank (with fuel in it) is heating up?

Sorry - missed adding about the exceptional attention and service provided by Accelerate motors in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bangalore to ensure delivery of my bike as per my need (had to hurry a bit) while dealing with an upgrade of DMS software. Mr Sham, Mr Pavan, Mr Vasanth and Mr Manoj are the reason for my smile these days whenever i ride the bike

The illumination on the highest level is crazy. I wouldn't keep it at that level unless I'm really off-road with no other traffic that the lights might blind. Haven't done much night riding yet. Thanks for the suggestions. I might change mounting position later depending on my experience with the lights.

The branding seems to be a sticker under the final layer of lacquer. So I don't think taking it off will be a very simple job.

Congratulations sir. The chrome looks neat and adds to the vintage looks. But the mudgard in the greyish silver looks out of place imo. What modifications have you started thinking on ;-)

I'm curious, has anybody done a tube-removal conversion on theirs yet?


That would be top on my list. In that case, what wheels did they use?


If I were to get this bike, I probably couldn't rest easy unless it rolled out of the showroom wearing alloy wheels and tubeless tyres.

A tube puncture on a 200kg bike would probably be a nightmare!

Alloy wheels for the interceptor/GT are launching very soon, so its looking like a more complete package as time goes by.

Yuppie! Good news. finally the wait is over.

I got call from my dealer to inform that my Ravishing Red is here. going tomorrow to make payment and inspect (BTW anything specific to check during PDC?).

I am still waiting for the dealer to send me the list of documents required for registration process.

one query though. can i take the delivery without passing or wait for passing to happen which will take approximately a week.

Launching as in being launched as OEM accessories by RE?

That's right, the brand would be launching alloys as OEM accessories for all vehicles in their portfolio. News confirmed from a friend working with RE.

Thanks. No modifications planned yet.
In fact, i didn't even think nor notice those silver arches till you mentioned. I am not sure if I want to replace them.

My sole purpose in life is to get through the run-in period and get the service done.. And then life begins

However I would like to mention that the heat management is very good.. have been riding to work in bad traffic conditions without any noticeable discomfort.
Also I have made a few functional customisations to suit my ergo needs.
1. Added a wider and taller handlebar (this required changing clutch and accelerator cables)
2. Modified the seat to provide more comfort for both rider and pillion
3. Added Backrest, rear luggage plate and saddle stay from Zana
4. Fabricated footrest plates for pillion to save her shoes and the bike's end pipes.
Next in line is adding highway footpegs on the engine guard for that relaxed riding position during long straight highway rides.

How much the seat cost and from where you bought it?

in last one month I had 2 zero speed tumble on a 90 deg turn( both time taking a right turn) on continental GT 650 twin, this only happened with me on triumph tiger 1200 which was very top heavy, has anybody else experienced this with GT? one more point both of this tumble happened with full tank 12+ ltrs.



during right side tumble, rear break lever are the only contact point and takes to complete load of the bike( I have the smaller engine guard).

I booked the bike in Feb first week but I think someone who had booked the bike before me wasn't quite ready to take the delivery, so I got lucky
