So I switched to stock Himalayan ones because I was looking for something more committed and this served me well being flatter than stock Interceptor ones. I was actually aiming for Street Twin like flat setup but what I got was a decent compromise. But then I had to install handlebar risers to accommodate preload adjusters for front shocks. And now my rider triangle is like street scrambler Talk about unintended consequences. I'd love to see how the jawa handlebars look. If you can share some pictures it'll be lovely. Here's mine with the current setup. One a positive note, it is super comfortable, not very upright, there is still a slight forward bend giving you good control of the front.

Wax is for protecting the polished surface. To bring the lustere from the paint, one will need polish for sure.

Hey man,

The handlebars are visible in the pictures I shared. Do you need it from any other angle?

Finally got the 17 inch wheel conversion done. Tyre choice - apollo alpha h1. Will share more details once I've spent some time on the bike. Initial feel - the bike feels very light and agile

Would like to know if there're any speedo errors or ODO needs to be calibrated please? Could you test that & report here please?

Hi Aargee. Of course there's a speedo error. Its reads higher by 8 percent. I don't intend to do anything about it as thats not really a priority to me

The rear alloy is from the meteor... plug n play. Front is from a ktm duke that required some fanagling to make it fit

Interceptor with classic 350 chrome's tank. Looks bloody brilliant

P.S : is this an actual mod or have I made the noob mistake of posting an actual production model?

Are you sure this is the Classic 350’s tank? To me it looks like the chrome tank of Interceptor with a red accent.

Looks like this is the latest updated chrome edition, will have my post edited. Looks so much better than plain chrome!

Re: Ridden: Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650 Twin

Any Bangalore meet ups or rides happening for the Interceptor/GT650? Would be great to have one, now that the rains have stopped, and the morning weather is good for riding.

Hello, would you mind sharing the process behind attaching the duke's rims to the interceptor hub please?

Re: Ridden: Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650 Twin

Hey guys,

I have a used interceptor, first owner used it for 2.2 years / 17k kms.
I was wondering if it makes sense to opt for the extended warranty (std. warranty will lapse in August 2022)

I looked up references to 'extended warranty' on this thread and found only references to the cost.

What does the extended warranty not cover?

Would you recommend I get one?

The bike has a modified exhaust and air filter setup from moto wings - will this cause them to reject a warranty claim?

Check who issues extended warranty. If its some third party vendor, don't bother.

If its direct with RE, as long as its reasonably priced and covers the all critical engine and electrical bits, you can take it. That said, I've yet to come across any catastrophic failures with the Interceptor, so you should be fine.
