Besides the new colours, the 650 Twins are expected to get an updated instrument cluster featuring Royal Enfield's Tripper turn-by-turn navigation. |
Missing ones: Gray Goose in INT, Cookies and Cream in GT and Tripper Navigation Quote:

++1, for me as well but unfortunately this is missed by RE. Quote:

I am really liking the Grey goose color, if they do launch it in next month, i will switch my booking to that from baker express. |
Both are not available, you should be having great disappointment from RE. Quote:

Though Grey Goose is missed out I really liked the GT's Red color Quote:

Unfortunately this is what we are living with undeniably. Quote:

A surprise element reserved for Cruiser 650? Quote:

But then again at least there are tyre options now. | Quote:

These are the same tyres available on Meteor as well, so will be good I believe. Quote:

Phone holders are available in plenty and their designs have improved and there are also weather proof options. Personally, i think the simpler the system the better it is and to me, its not really important in its present scheme.
Yes, Alloys is something which a lot of us have been waiting for. It would have been a good addition for those looking for the comfort and cushion of running a tubeless setup from DIY type puncture repair point of view.
I was my self waiting for alloys for eternity |
To each their own. If you ask me I would say both Navigation and alloys are not a must upgrade on INT & GT, simply because they are not cruiser/tourer bikes but nice to have them both. Quote:

Are those the same CEAT zoom cruz tyres which you mentioned about? Quote:

When RE keeps boasting of 'go anywhere etc, giving 'Tripper Navigation', how can they forget not all riders are mechanics/skilled to repair a tube-type puncture a be it in city traffic or highway or any desolate location.
It is more of a peace of mind factor than anything. Looks are damned but that fear of facing a tyre puncture is far more on a highway trip than anything else. Kills the time and enthusiasm. I am not sure how many BHPians agree with my thought but the introduction of alloys + tubeless tyres will be the best addition to any colour or navigation feature.
Was expecting alloys in this update since it was "coming soon" on the MiY App. |
I'm expecting the alloys to be available on Himalayan than on 650 twins Ji Quote:

++1 exactly the same feeling with me, let's see what RE is going to do with the new launch
Overall, the 2021 650 twins update is not so much satisfactory to me but a wasted oppurtunity apart from the new color options with good paint quality, blacked out wheels with CEAT zoom cruz tyres, black mud guards, bar end mirrors (GT only) + the accessories upgrade having ribbed seat (with better cushioning) design something similar to Honda CB350RS, the fly screen, the all black mirrors but misses out on tripper module with BT connectivity! |
