Re: 2021 Royal Enfield 650 Twins new colour options leaked

This Leak (Ridden: Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650 Twin) was posted in the interceptor thread couple of months back. There has been no news after that.

I hope they include gear shift indicators on the Instrument cluster. That's very important, at least for me .

I highly doubt it, only addition would be tripper thing, and I am sure it will be an easy retro fit for current models too.

I am really liking the Grey goose color, if they do launch it in next month, i will switch my booking to that from baker express.

I too really like the new colors but for me that one feature is very important. Anyways do let us know if you get the gear shift indicators or not once you get your bike.

Any chance they would have fixed the cross-eyed rear exhaust pipes?

The only manufacturer in the world to get away with a misaligned exhaust and nobody seems to mind.

Cheers

So RE hiked the price by about 3K recently, with the addition of the Tripper navigation system should we expect another price hike then ?

Hot damn Grey Goose and British Racing Lean are stunning! Cool names too. I’m glad GT gets a red color.

Re: Ridden: Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650 Twin

Hey friends,

I picked my Interceptor in mid December.

I have mainly used it for my 8 KM commute and done around 750Kms till date.

I need help with an aftermarket Exhaust for the twin.

Few options are :

S&S: Retails at around $890 AUD Race version and $1200 Street.
Redrooster: $600 AUD approx
AEW:$600 AUD approx
Gursevak:$600 AUD approx
Trident:$600 AUD approx

My main requirement is something louder than the stock pipe with DB killers.

Please help making up mind which one to get. Also would appreciate if you can help with cost in INDIA.

Thanks
Deep.

Re: Ridden: Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650 Twin

I had AEW TE-101 mild l-steel exhausts installed in my Interceptor. They costed 9k an year ago. With baffles it was reasonably quiet in the low and mid rpms. During load and in high rpms it was louder. And with baffles it made this 'pops and bangs' during overruns which felt annoying to me. Also, I noticed that the bike didnt rev all the way upto 7000rpm, the power got cut abruptly around 6000-6700rpm.
Are you not considering Tec exhausts? Especially the 2 into 1 Stinger?

Re: Ridden: Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650 Twin

Is TEC 2-1 STINGER Exhaust System sold in India? The factory-twin exhaust pipes on either side make the bike seem too bulky from the rear! Want to replace them on my GT 650 with a 2x1 system. I like the TEC design but not sure if its sold here. The other option is 2×1 SS Moto Corp Exhaust.

Re: Ridden: Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650 Twin

Had a chat with SS moto corp and was quoted Rs. 22500/- (gst included) for their 2 in 1 exhaust system. Planning to get the exhaust installed as they are in Mumbai and installation is free. Attaching an image of gt 650 with the SS system shared with me by SS moto.

Also adding picture of my gt 650 for comparison

The knocking/pre-detonating is knocking/pre-detonating not popping or burbling. They are heavy sounds from within the engine, not from the silencers. As already written it should be an ICU issue. I will report after reverting to the stock silencers
I never did revert to the stock silencers and the knocking/pre-detonating disappeared after the second service. SC said the noise was wrong valve clearances but I don't believe that.

I wrote about AEW TE201 in this thread at https://www.team-bhp.com/forum/motor...ml#post4854651 (Ridden: Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650 Twin)

I wrote "The engine became more tractable. Previously it was unusable below 2,000 RPM. With TE 201, it could be used down to 1,500 RPM". More like 1,800 than 1,500

The total price for Stainless Steel Matt Polish incl. taxes and delivery was ₹16,000
