Great Sebring, look forward to your early delivery so we can get first impressions. Since you saw the scooter in the flesh, please share your thoughts on the looks, fit, finish and anything else which caught your eye. Thank you.

Cheers

In addition to the above, would be interesting to know how the size/road presence compares against the existing "Large" scooter, the Burgman?

It's best if you sell it outside, Yamaha or another other dealer will lowball you.

Its always better that you sell outside, a Suzuki and Yamaha dealer in Bangalore quoted me a price of 20-22K for my 7 year old Vespa LX125 which was is very good condition. I posted an ad in FB marketplace and got 37K for the same bike.

Regards,
Vijay

Arjun, while we wait for Sebring to bring his eye account testimony about the size. I feel the Burgman while a good scooter is like an air filled balloon and not muscular. It’s disproportionate, especially the bulbous rear with the small 10 inch wheel. That’s one of the reasons I bought the Activa 125 BS6 last year. I think the Aerox should be visually like a prize fighter, toned with lean muscle.

Shashank, I am in the same boat, need to sell my Activa 125 BS6 disc brake version. I feel the showroom will have a division to buy our scooter but the rate will be low since they have to make money also. Finding a buyer outside should fetch more value. I will be checking that too, but not in a hurry at all. Will wait for the fag end of the monsoon in Bombay to finish.

Cheers

I was just trying to be nice to the Burg"er"man (rear resembles a burger a bit? just joking and no offense to any owners) but there you go
But jokes apart yeah, my curiosity is only limited to the sheer size vs size. Will discount the looks and especially the tires for convenience

Same here, very hard to justify to my wife. Due to COVID the access has not even completed 10K km. Plus I may lose a lot on depreciation.

I will wait for the reviews and take a call early next year (regardless of the reviews, I am sold on this )

Just curious and strictly OT, why are you selling the less run Aprilia 160? Upgrade itch or is it falling short for something from your usage? I can understand 100/110/125cc guys wanting to upgrade, but a one year old same bracket upgrade is intriguing. Hope you don't mind this question.

Re: Yamaha Aerox 155 Scooter. Edit: Launched at 1.29 lakhs

I have been waiting for a maxi scooter for long as a replacement for my 2014 TVS Jupiter, just thinking if I should book Aerox or wait for TVS (not Sure if they have anything in Pipeline) and Honda (PCX / Forza) to release their versions of Maxi Scooters?

TVS is supposedly revealing their Jupiter 125cc on 5th October, 2021, but it will not be in the same league as the Aerox. This one is head and shoulders above all this.

https://bikeadvice.in/tvs-jupiter-12...h-date-teaser/

Honda PCX no clue and the Forza if it’s launched in the 350cc guise (as is rumoured) will be priced way beyond this one since it is a 350cc.

Cheers

I agree with @Cyborg, with the exception of Honda, all the Maxi scooter that were suppose to be launch in India are already here, Suzuki Burgman, Aprilia SXR 125 & 160, and the Yamaha Aerox 155. If you wait a bit more BMW C 400 GT should launch soon , as such it is a good time to buy a Maxi scooter.

Now for Honda they seem to be in a limbo, even though they have every type of Maxi scooter in their portfolio from electric to hybrid, they refuse to bring them to India for god knows what reason.
