Re: New Honda scooter spotted testing. EDIT: It's the Grazia

Well, it atleast confirms that the spy pics were not of the Grazia. Must be a TVS then.

I have booked a white Grazia (disc). Should be around 76k OTR bangalore. The dealer said it will take a weeks time to get RTO approval post which they will start deliveries

Re: New Honda scooter spotted testing. EDIT: It's the Grazia

Visited the Honda showroom today to get the front number plate fixed on the Aviator and while the work was being carried out, I took a quick look at the Grazia:
It has a fully digital instrument panel and LED headlamps.

Grazia in Red

Grazia in Blue

Switches on the left side of the handle bar
Not very different from the Aviator, the one change is that the choke lever is different (turns sideways) and is located below the brake lever.

Ignition Key area
This is significantly different from the Aviator, looks like some part sharing with the Activa as well (but I could be wrong here). Big difference is the Seat Lock/release button.

Mini storage box (actually a cubbyhole with lid)

Tyres:
Front tyre 12" - CEAT Zoom Hi 90/90-12 54J
Rear tyre 10" - CEAT Zoom-D 90/100-10 53J

If I remember correctly, the lower variant had 10" (front and rear) MRF Zapper tyres.

The Sales Manager mentioned that the 125cc engine on the Grazia will be the smallest engine used on Honda scooters once BS-VI norms come into force. He also mentioned that ABS will become standard soon on 2 wheelers.

Thanks a ton for sharing the pictures, NPV!

The panel fit around the cubbyhole is pathetic. Honda's fit and finish has taken a nosedive in the recent years. And it's pretty useless since it cannot be locked. Also, Honda should get rid of the god-awful rear brake lock clamp!

I believe the tyre size is identical across the variants, i.e. 12" front and 10" rear.

Re: New Honda scooter spotted testing. EDIT: It's the Grazia

I got my white Grazia (Disc) during the weekend. Cost Rs 75389 OTR Bangalore.

Initial impression - Love the headlamps, ride is very smooth on good roads, slightly bumpy on bad stretches, decent handling (for a scooter), floorboard has enough space to carry groceries. A few people asked if its the new Dio

Re: New Honda scooter spotted testing. EDIT: It's the Grazia

Congrats Loki on new Grazia...!!! When did you book this ?
I am planning to retire my ageing 11 yr old Activa, I had been to Sapphire Honda, Bangalore 2 weeks back and booked Grazia disc version. However, there is no stock available both at Sapphire or Silicon Honda. The SA says the stock will arrive sometime last week of Dec or Jan beginning. They are not sure though. Let me know
Thanks

Re: New Honda scooter spotted testing. EDIT: It's the Grazia

My brother in law got his Grazia. I was with him to take delivery.
Grazia look 10 times better than activa and even perform better than active but,

those head light are not as good as they look in the pic. they are way to low and when there is traffic coming from opposite side they are completely useless.

I have driven it after 7.30 pm when there was power cut and there was no road light.

Mine was the first booking in Silicon Honda (booked on the first day - Oct 23rd). I visited Silicon Honda a few days ago to fix the side stand and they did have stock including a few disc versions. Maybe they were already accounted for. You might want to check with them again.

Re: New Honda scooter spotted testing. EDIT: It's the Grazia

Checked out the Grazia today!

Looks nice but then the overall build feels flimsy.
The front wheel mud guard felt quite flimsy.
The plastic quality isn't great either.
Feature packed!
Performance is decent.
Brakes are just about ok.
Handling isn't as good as the Aviator IMO. Feels front heavy!
3 month waiting list already!

I drive an Aviator everyday!
Turbohead is online now   (1) Thanks

Re: New Honda scooter spotted testing. EDIT: It's the Grazia

Hi guys, I'm planning to buy a new scooter for my self, and my budget is Rs 70k max. I have shortlisted Jupiter and Grazia.

Can you please suggest which is better of the two?

Jupiter without a doubt. Have you test ridden both back-to-back? Please do so first, and the differences will become instantly apparent.

Dont get swayed by the looks etc...go purely by performance first.

Thanks! I'll be taking test drive on this Saturday. I have to admit that Grazia's looks got me. However, I don't want that to be the only source of my decision.

I beg to differ. Grazia has better performance any day. To add to it, it handles better than Jupiter. Meanwhile Jupiter excels in ride quality. Also, TVS scooters in general are a little bit more fuel efficient.

Better performance for what? Traffic light gp? Or track days? Or canyon carving?

Lets focus on the use case of these scooters. Grocery shopping or office commutes on pathetic roads.

I did, and am very happy with the jupiter. The grazia was horrid in every department.
