..Any suggestions on which one to go for - the primary user will be my wife who will be using it for a daily commute of 32 kms.
Still haven't taken a test drive yet, Hopefully I'll be able to decide once I take a test drive.
75k for an Activa is quite a lot! 32Kms of travel in Pune would amount to approximately 1 hour of riding everyday. Do check out the TVS Jupiter, with its plush seats and relatively better ride quality would definitely be more comfortable than the 4G, and more VFM too.

My wife was not for the Jupiter (having owned an activa for the past 10 years) so I picked up the Activa 4G on Saturday. The final price on road came down to 62,500; this is without any accessories from the dealer. Got a body guard fitted from my mechanic for 1200.
The ride quality seems quite refined although I feel that the brakes lack punch.

Re: 2017 Honda Activa 4G : Launched at Rs. 50,730

Can anyone clarify if the headlight of the Activa 4g is AC or DC? Need a scoot for small commutes and have zeroed in on the Aprillia SR150 or the Activa 4g.

As far as I know, the vehicles electrical system runs on DC only. The alternator may be generating AC but it is converted to DC and used in the system.

Will clarify my query, is the headlight connected to the alternator (brightness varies w.r.t the engine rpm) or connected to the battery (output is constant)?

4G gets AHO and Mobile charging port - yet Honda still does not provide telescopic suspension in the 110cc variant even in 4G! The 125cc has got it, I think. But that front suspension in 110cc is simply below par.
I guess with the numbers that Activa sells, Honda must be thinking - "why fix something that aint broken"

Honda activa got the charging point but there is no Bracket assembly to place the smartphone. Phone will keep jumping on speed barkers and ditches inside the boot.

Both 3G & 4G brochure are attached here to compare.

.
We bought Activa 125 at my native place a couple of years back mainly as it came with bigger forks on front compared to regular activa. The stability on bad roads is good. The pick up is also good compared to the regular activa. I love riding it when I go to my native. Take a test ride and decide.

I have seen a few new Activas on the roads in the past few weeks. I see their light brightness changes with acceleration, just like the older models. And I saw this during day time, so I am hoping its the AHO feature on the 4G.
