Thanks a lot @ Sebring, I realised it was an issue with my internet connection which was blocking uploads to TBHP. Accessories pics and those installed on my bike are attached along with pic of seat cover which I got it done from outside showroom.

That's his bike with all the accessories he could get his hands on, (at the moment). The carrier costs Rs. 599, Black Leg-guard costs Rs. 1499 (Chrome is Rs 100 more), Grab rail costs Rs. 999 and back-rest with a carrier is Rs. 999 as well. Hopefully, he will pen his ownership account shortly.

I rode the old 2-strokes and found them compelling of course... but despite any complaints from the purists, I think that even with the 4-stroke some of its positives (distinctives) could survive:


1. Kinda midsize, not too big, not too small.
2. Kinda midweight, not too heavy, not too light.
3. Low seat height, and very practically a flat one at that.

4. Cool looks esp. the twin horizontal pipes and the headlamp/speedo module.
5. Absolutely the best handling bike I ever rode...


My Bullet doesn't have any of these, and in truth if the Jawa ends up being done right, I'd likely prefer it. It retains most of its uniqueness and advantages in my view, exhaust note and immediate low-mid rpm torque aside.

This is the Jawa Showroom opposite MEPZ in Chennai, near the RE showroom. I also saw about a dozen bikes parked outside the showroom. I clicked this while passing, could not go inside and enquire about deliveries.

When you pen down your review , please share what is different in the final production variant and the pre-production variants that were available to the journos and the showrooms for test ride.

On a side note , 7 months into the booking and all I have received is a phone call from the dealer to inform the bike is available for test rides. I kinda lost my interest in this bike and hardly check this thread these days.

I wanted to wait for the initial niggles to be addressed before booking mine. LOL. Mahindra has made a joke out of people like me. RE must be very happy with the way Mahindra has played with JAWA so far.

You have at least a phone call from the dealer for a rest ride, be happy!!

I have nothing, absolutely nothing!! I wrote to CL - no response! I called up CL- gave my booking id number, simple scripted response was that I should expect a call after June!!

Congratulations! What a turn of events! From not even a call to delivery, all within a week! Seems like Jawa's finally getting its deliveries into motion (ignoring the absence of numbers in SIAM reports)

Looking forward to your ownership report - that would be the first one on this forum (and across xbhp too) since the bikes were launched ~8 months ago. And something a lot of us are really interested and looking forward to, getting the first-hand view on how the bike's turning out on the ground, as a worthy alternative to the RE Classic options.

P.s. That's a fantastic color, also something tells me the color is even better in person than in pics

Hyderabad? I have visited both Kukatpally and Secunderabad showrooms, so I guess this is either Banjara Hills or Gacchibowli Showroom, is it?
On-road price in Hyderabad?
I too had booked a 42 in Lumos Lime shade, but after looking at few pictures on the web changed it to Nebula Blue, could you please post few quality pics in daylight, if I am not asking for too much!
