Re: Mahindra is bringing Jawa back. EDIT: Launched @ Rs 1.55 lakh

Dealer - Synergy Jawa, Bangalore
On road - Rs 2.25 Lakhs incl additional RTO costs
Accessories - Rs 1763 for centre stand

Thanks to Bhpians - Sandeep_K_Ram and Funkykar(Karthik Makam) for all the help and support during this purchase.

A very classy looking bike with performance of a modern bike. Having extensively ridden Karthik's Mojo, I was pretty sure the Jawa would be a good performer. Based on today's ride to office, yes, the engine performance is just like Mojo, which is my favorite 300cc bike!

More details in my ownership report coming soon. Here are some pics.

Many congratulations!! Why is the center stand so much, it should be Rs. 799/- only per Jawa website. Please ask your dealer.

White Jawa looks awesome, Happy riding!!

Congratuations, arun1100 on your new ride. Looks awesome in white. By the way, did you ride this to the Jawa day? Or were you in the blue PP parked in the corner?

Waiting for your ownership thread eagerly.

Thank you!

My dad drove the Padmini and I rode the Jawa. I have been visiting the Jawa meet for more than a decade now. Along with my Jawa was Karthik's 1978 Model B Yezdi.

Re: Mahindra is bringing Jawa back. EDIT: Launched @ Rs 1.55 lakh

Happy to finally see owner photos show up, the bikes look gorgeous. Almost makes me want to book a Jawa 42 again (I cancelled and got the INT 650 because Jawa were unwilling to commit to a delivery date). I'm finally seeing a few of the new Jawas on the road in Mumbai and they look fantastic in real life, albeit just a tad bit smaller than I would have liked.

Most likely, the first niggle in my Jawa. The check engine light is seen since evening today. Friend says, known issue and ASC will change the sensor FoC.

Re: Mahindra is bringing Jawa back. EDIT: Launched @ Rs 1.55 lakh

Finally cancelled my jawa 42 booking today. it was too much to wait as I had booked on 24th November 2018. Still no news on delivery.

Picking a Suzuki SF 250. The Suzuki looks like a better option considering the finishing issues reported by some owners about jawa and their attitude at this point is seriously hurting to say the least. Except the retro look, I don't see value in begging with them for this bike

Congratulations on the Suzuki, power ranger. I think you might be the first TBHPian to have booked one. Do share pictures, pricing and dealership experience with us in due course of time. And if possible, an ownership thread as well.

Re: Mahindra is bringing Jawa back. EDIT: Launched @ Rs 1.55 lakh

I booked grey classic Jawa in November and later changed it to dual ABS version. With no information on delivery in near future, I called up my dealer and casually inquired if I can change my booking to Jawa 42 single ABS version so as to get immediate delivery. They said yes and even have one G green 42 and one black classic in stock which can be delivered on my approaching anniversary(15 days to go).

This has led me to more confusion. Whether I should take the single ABS variant on JAWA 42 and save myself more than 22k ? Will I miss the dual abs in my regular 12 kms run daily? Also I felt easier riding 42 than Classic due to different handlebars so even the Jawa 42 is fine to me.Suggestions required ASAP as I have only till Sunday to decide.

KKG, I believe any motorcycle you buy today must have at the very least a dual channel ABS. Please do not compromise on this basic safety net. You never know when it will be needed, it will make the difference between staying on the bike versus a fall.

I suggest you either be patient and wait for your booking to come up or change your brand of motorcycle to another one which offers a dual channel ABS.

Cheers

Hi, I have done exactly the same as to what you are thinking. I moved from dual channel to single channel ABS version as my bike is only for weekend cruising and occasional office trips of 15kms in a day. I am super happy with my decision and am enjoying the JAWA 42.
