Hi folks, need your help regarding scrapping one of our scooter - 2009 Hero Pleasure. It is registered in my mother's name, who sadly passed away this month. The scooter is not in use and just sitting idle at home, so I'm thinking of scrapping it. It is MH 42 registered and it's documentation is also not in place. Any suggestions are welcome TIA!

Anyone in telangana got their vehicle scrapped recently? The Cero guys are asking to apply for scrapping on Scrap portal, but Telangana RTO does not update vehicle details to Vahan so i can't go any further. There is some option to fill a backlog form on vahan, i filled it but it still says vehicle not found. Not sure if there is some backend verification process to verify filled details and it will take time. Will try checking everyday for a few days.

The Cero guy has no clue. He sounds like he is operating from Bangalore and is saying we scrap vehicles in hyderabad. I tell him, i can't find any of my new and old vehicles on vahan portal because Telangana govt does not update to vahan and he is clueless. Asked him to check internally.

Update: CERO mentioned yesterday that they are not scrapping 2 wheelers in hyderabad due to instructions from their backend. This seems like an issue due to their policy to accept scrapping application only via the vscrap vahan portal. And this TS vehicles are not updated to vahan portal, they apparently cannot scrap here.

I trying poking them a few times, but they tell me they are helpless unless i am able to apply via the vscrap portal.

I found a form on the vahan portal to add a backlog entry 2 months ago, i added and the status shows pending with my local RTO. I tried reaching out both in person and via email to RTO and they have no idea what i am talking about and tell me there is no facility to update to vahan or approve any pending requests. They tell me to bring my vehicle to vehicle inspector so that he can approve scrapping
