I own a Wagon R, if its not an issue  EDIT: Just read that the plan is shifted for tomorrow. Already driven a lot last week, I don't think I can join tomorrow for Garhmukteshwar, Uttar Pradesh. | Re: Delhi/NCR - Sunday Morning Short Rides The ride to Garhmukteshwar invoked a great sense of deja-vu. Why wouldn't it? From riding over the river Kaveri, I was now riding over the river Ganga. Having started after a delay of half an hour, we covered up lost ground well, and just as the first beam of the sun broke into the horizon, we were riding into the beautiful countryside. To add to the fun, Bhpian Sting joined us for the first time on his Triumph 'El Blanco' Bonneville. A beautiful machine which looks well sculpted from whichever angle you look at it. I consider it to be the Grandmother of these modern day motorcycles. She's sweet, quiet and oozes of charm, but if she's in a fit of rage, you would not want to be in her way. Mesmerising machine, this. I never quite imagined Uttar Pradesh roads to be in such fine condition, with barely a pothole. However, drivers having absolutely no road manners made up for the deficit in convincing fashion. I'll still rank the Bangalore - Chitradurga expressway to be the best multi-laner I've ever ridden on. In every aspect. I would have liked it more if all of us maintained similar speeds and rode together in each other's sights. Why ride just to reach the destination? Nevermind, though. Following sumptuous breakfast at McD and a great discussion on our favourite topic, we all headed back to the concrete jungles and bade each other goodbye. Total Distance Ridden - 247 kms. 1. Compulsory photo taken at 5:10 AM near India Gate.  2. The Lineup.  3. From the Kaveri to the Ganga. She's seen it all.  4. Photobomb. Because posing is too mainstream.  |

Driving manners are pretty much absent everywhere in and around Delhi - but ironically the roads are great fun and wide compared to Bangalore. I had the same realisation when I moved to Delhi from Bangalore a couple of years back  |
