You can, but the bike's ride and handling will change. Avoid changing rim size. You can opt for a bigger tyre perhaps 100/90x18. I had 3.25x16 (Yezdi) tyres on my old RX and gave me good grip, but handling was not perfect.

I guess that is too much oil. Have your pump proper, else mix with fuel. Having both will be too much unless you have had a piston seizure recently.

See that your oil delivery is not excessively high, It will emit so much smoke and foul your spark plugs and piston head. You will also have oil dripping from your exhaust.

Decarbonise your exhaust with your regular service so that the exhaust flow is good and you get a cool sound.

If your 2T pump is functional, why are you adding more premix. This will cause the engine to run lean and and also cause gumming and carbon deposits.

I also own a RXZ.
Pretty much StockISH now.

Was riding home today from tuits and suddenly i see i cant feel my clutch shifts anymore.
Just went for another ride and the problem still persists.

It feels fine when u shift clutchless but with the clutch its almost asif u cant feel it shift at all..
Lots of false neutrals too..

Anyone whos ridden a messed up RD will know what im talking about....

Any idea why this could be happening.

yeah the pump does work but the oil level came to the half level only after 1500 kms ,

also have seen that the engine feels smoother when i add 2T oil with petrol.

Rx 100...

Hey Guys & Gals,

Iv'e Owned 2 Bikes So Far:-
1. Kinetic-Honda (modded)
2. Yamaha Rx 100 (modded)

The Kinetic I Owned Had This Yellow Sticker Of Snoop Dogg On The Front Guess Most Of The Bandra Guys Might Know It....That Bike Was Modded As Well...I Had the Bike Ported Spark Plugs Changed , Custom Silencer , Tyre's Modded To Button Tyre's . The Bike Was Tuned And Serviced Entirely By Moi . The Top Speed Achieved On The Bike Was 111kmph /-.

The Rx100 Was A Whole New World, I Got The Bike When I Turned 16 , The Bike Was A Beauty , She Had Never Been Taken Out Of The Bandra Area , Only 11,000 Kms Done . Top Speed Done At That Time Was 60kmph /- .Would U Believe It??? heheh I Guess Not.... I Bought The Bike From My Old School Coach He Was A Family Man So Rarely Used The Bike. The Day I Got The Bike It Was Rode Straight To The Mech For A First Few Mods... The Rear Tyre Was Put On The Front Wheel , The Rear Wheel Got A Brand New Pulsar 180 Rear Tyre. The Bike Was Then Ported , The Rear Sproket Was Modded To Smaller One. The Rear Shocks Modded For Height... Seat Modded To Get The Rider Side To Be Lower Than The Passenger Side. The Silencer Was Customly Built By My Mech And Myself. It Turned Out Extremely Well The Bike Din't Roar But Purred Like Wolf In Sheep's Clothing.. Please Note I Built This Bike For Show As Well As Speed..The Bike Has OutRun Pulsar 150 And 180 And Cbz..The Only Modd Never Completed To The Bike Was The Rx135 Gear Box Upgrade To Get The 5th Gear . The Bike However Dint Require That Much. The Bike Had Alot Of Weight Reduction Done To Make It Lighter. The Turning Lights Changed To Cbz Ones. The Bike Was Re Painted To A Full Black Even The Engine Casing , the Shock Absorbers To A Floro Green A Copy Of What My Bro"s CBZ Paint Job Was..Apart From The Whole Expenditure On The Bike All I Spent Every Month Was A 100Rs For A Complete Wash And Oil Change And Greasing.

BTW i think I Forgot To Tell You The Rx100 With All These Mods .....

Top Speed 129kmph/-

Top Timings Clocked :-
Bombay International Airport Terminal 2A - Khar Subway(WEST)- 2mins 6secs

Any One Reading This Post , Want A Good Mech Which Has Got Alot Of Experience On Yamahas Rx100's & Rx135's Because Of Me .
He's Pretty Close To Old Maddness In Khar Ask For Kalu . Everyone Knows Him.

Hey samybravo, awesome engine mods youve got there man, but I have a suggestion, keep the tyres fat, but why dont you leave the body in that orignal classic look? It will be mcuh better that way.

I do have a question samy, I'm intersted in knowing as to how you converted the trasmission from 4 speed to 5 speed. What did ya have to change to do the conversion. I do have an idea as to parts that I have to change and what needs to be done to make it a 5 speed. But i'm still unsure.

Would appreciate some help on this.

Good job on the conversion to the 170cc. Care to elaborate bro.

The power box. Which one did you use? Now that you have converted it to the 170cc, the volume of the power box would also have to change right? If its for the 135cc then it wouldn't be of too much help man.

RD350 carb and front forks? Why? I get the carb part but forks? Not easy to find oil seals for starters. I would have prefered the pulsars front assembly just for the availability of parts and it isn't that bad. If i'm not mistaken, the RD came with 38mm forks. The new pulsar also is going to come out with the same (from what i hear).

I'm totally with ya on the performance part, but i'm totally against what you intend to do with the looks part. Big profile tyres for the front and back, ducatti fairings. Complete NO NO for me.

Hoping for a reply man.

Ciao.

I find both those statements to be contradictory.

I'll believe it when I see it. Your mech must be one hell of a tuner to make your bike do all this with big profile tyres.

If you say so my man. Hats off to your mech. Seems to have done a good job with your rx100. Enjoy the 2 stroke trip. Where the sound is addictive and the powerband is pure bliss. If being in love with this is a sin, I wish to rot in hell.

Back in Ahmedabad I was surrounded by Yamaha fans on all three sides as neighbours. While 2 had rx135 5-2peed one had a Yamaha Rx-Z.

I almost always ended up in a light argument over their blabbering of yamahas.

Hence when I decided on a new bike, I didnt go for the Rx-z even though I liked it a lot just because the other guy had it. I bought a pulsar 180.

While Pulsar180 blasts rx-z, its was still more fun to drive for me.

I seldom used to drive their Yamahas when we used to hang around.

My cousin owns 2 yamaha Rx135. One a tiger and another a 5-speed.
