Suzuki launches Access 125 Special Edition Link to News Section
Suzuki has tied up with Salman Khan's Being Human foundation to come up with a "Special Edition" version of the Access 125 scooter. The scooter is priced at 54,375 rupees, a price that's about a thousand rupees more than the regular variant. The Special Edition variant of the Access 125 is strictly a cosmetic sprucing up affair with the mechanicals remaining untouched.
The scooter gets the following cosmetic changes: - Chromed handlebar mounted rear view mirrors
- Tan leatherette seat cover
- Chromed rear grab handle
- Suzuki "Apna Way of Life" stickers on the flank panels
- "Being Human" sticker on the front panel
- Pearl Mirage White colour
The Access 125 retains its 124 cc four stroke engine that outputs 8.58 Bhp-9.8 Nm. The engine is mated to a CVT automatic transmission that drives the rear wheel of the scooter. Telescopic front forks and a single rear shock absorber make for the suspension components. In the braking department, both wheels get 120 mm drum brakes with the front disc brake not available even as an optional accessory.
The Access 125 is the best selling scooter in Suzuki's line up and the Japanese two wheeler maker plans to sell 40,000 units of the special edition model. A part of the money Suzuki realizes by selling the special edition version of the scooter will be used to fund Being Human foundation's charitable activities such as educating underprivileged children, and sponsoring cataract operations and heart surgeries for the infirm.
