KTM Duke 390 - Accessories Thread

Just trying to list (& source, with prices) accessories for the Grand Duke.

I am based out of Bangalore; travel to Dubai often and hence looking to source this in either place.

PS: Did not find the Dubai prices very favourable.

What I think I want
Bike itself:
- The bigger windshield
- Alarm system?
- Frame & hub sliders
- Hard case for helmet which does not kill the pillion seat
- Kit to shorten the rear mudguard overhang.

Others:
- Good leather riding gloves. Nothing fancy; for daily use

Some of these are commented on in this thread:
http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/motorb...ml#post3221610

Just consolidating.

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Accessories Thread

I'm interested to know how much the power parts exhaust and Akra exhaust for the 390 cost.
Somehow I like the looks of the bike with those side mounted exhausts.

The prices are a premium. I can confirm about tank pad and fuel cap sticker prices. These are available in KTM showroom and at the same price mentioned in the link u shared.

I am also looking for :
1. A bigger windshield
2. Powerpart / Akra exhaust
3. frame sliders

Looks like they are mumbai based, a link from their video tells the sellers are - bachoomotors.

They are priced at 18k and 44k respectively.

Is anyone looking to paint the alloys black? I think that is the only thing which is an eye sore for me. Also any replacements in offer?

I am going to leave the alloys orange to match the frame. In fact i am thinking of getting a part of the tank painted or decal'ed orange to create a contrast.

I am interested in some custom parts to protect the suspension and may be the engine in rainy days.

Vw2010 : thinking of part stickering the wheel to make a black/ orange mix instead of pure orange. Kind of an like

To answer your question on Sriram 's thread : Thinking of going matte black with key creases highlighted in orange

btw, found this on some ktm site. Looks like it is for 690. Will this fit the 390? Any idea what mods need to be made to make it fit?

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Accessories Thread

Checked out the 37 lt topcase & bracket from powerparts. They want 16500 for it but it simply does not look classy enough. Also the bracket sacrifices the pillion seat. SO, you need to fashion a larger bracket which will cantilever the box. May not be the most stable set up. Any opinion from actual users appreciated

Another member suggested this. Looks almost as good as the power parts one. Dont know how the mount works though. Seems to be a viable option & wont break the bank at 4500.

I found this rack from GIVI and this topbox also from Givi. Looks pretty good. Any opinion, again from actual users?

In fact, I think the Givi rack design can be duplicated locally in Bangalore

The viaterra claw bag comes for 2900/- and is quite suited for the duke.

I love the bike cover. Think it is worth it - if it really has a felt liner inside. Might just buy one for the CBR. Hehe

I just bought one yesterday. Unfortunately, it doesn't have any inside liner let alone a soft liner and neither is the cover of that high quality.

The 390 is my 2nd bike which I've picked up for my wife and have done the following mods since I got it 2 weeks ago:

- Front number plate removed & had the number stickered on the front mud guard
- Saree guard removed
- Tyre hugger removed
- Rear mud guard removed & replaced with an R&G tail tidy
- KTM front fork bobbins/protectors

Did all of this in about 3 hours in my basement. Watch out when you remove the ugly front number plate. The allen bolts have rubber grommets on them which fall all too easily into the instrument cluster & it is tough getting them out.

Pics below..I've done about 500 kms on her; looks like a Super Motard now The last pic was on a running in ride with a fellow 390 & prior to the tail delete..
