Re: KTM Duke 390 - Accessories Thread

I was planning to get a paddock since quite a while, but then it's of no use for a tourer like me who needs to tighten that chain down the dusty parking of some random hotel. Thought of a jugaad and got a small piece of wood chopped just the right length. Here's the hilarious video of how it works

Here are the things it can do:

1. Help you lube the chain
2. Work as a selfie stick with that GoPro mount
3. Used for self-defense when I run out of pepper spray

Soon going to patent this invention of mine :-P

Planning to buy saddle bags for Duke 390. Has anyone used Viaterra or Rynox bags. Viaterra is tailor made for Duke and looks good too.
any first hand user experience please !

I'm a very happy user of the Viaterra saddlebags on my 390 for over an year. It's a great product and suitable for trips of 3-4 days if you pack light. It doesn't stick out much and you can navigate through traffic easily. The rain cover is good, and sufficient for getting through light rains. Absolute VFM.

I once tried fitting the Rynox Nomad V2 on my Duke, didn't seem to fit. Then again some people have gone ahead and done it, but I have no idea how.

Used the Velox for some 25000 kms. Felt so much in love that left my job and joined ViaTerra

Here's a review from a time when I still was in IT

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Accessories Thread

Bought the Velox. Got it from a shop in Thiruvananthapuram itself. Its just a perfect fit for Duke.
Went for a marathon 850 km drive in 2 days with velox on.
During the onward journey, I forgot to put the rain cover on velox. But luckily there was only a slight drizzle. Nothing inside got wet.

On the return journey, it was raining heavily. This time I had put the rain cover on. I had to break the journey since it became absolutely impossible to ride in this rain. When I opened the velox, I was surprised to see that all my clothes inside velox was wet.

Don't know why this happened!

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Accessories Thread

Can anyone suggest goof palm grips and auxiliary lights for Duke 390? Flood lights are preferable!

Thanks in advance.

I am planning to go for handlebar risers for my 390. Anyone has done it? Any idea where I can get them in Pune or online?

IndiMotard (Bangalore) provides them. They ship it too. Suggest you call them up and get the best price.

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Accessories Thread

Are KTM PowerParts available in India at the dealerships? I badly want to buy a set of adjustable brake and clutch levers and perhaps splurge on a few more things like bigger brakes, better chain etc.

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Accessories Thread

We finally have some luggage racks that are custom built for our KTMs at a reasonable price. Check this out:

http://www.faasterwheels.com/

Pretty it aint, but much better than getting something jugaad type done at your local welder. And the payload capacity I think is 30 KG or so. Impressive!
