What engine oil does everyone use? Over the years I have found 300v 15w50 to be the best with 3000km oil change intervals. Tried the new 300v2 10w50 and stock 7100 10w50 but I prefer the old 300v in 15w50 spec anyone else prefer 15w50 over the recommended 10w50 oil grade? |

I did a short ride of around 150 kms after the change and I have noticed the tires have good grip on the tarmac, excellent off roads and no roads. I can fly over the potholes and speed breakers without any worry on my mind. I will update this post as and when I find pros and cons from these rubber. |

What is your long term opinion on these tyres (TS 822)? I am also looking for a 90/10 or 80/20 tyre for my Versys and currently stuck between paying a bomb for either Metz Tourance or Avon Trailrider. The TS822 seems very similar to these and hence very enticing. Thanks in advance. :) |

Look up the timsun 659A. Many of us including myself have used it and its very good as a 90/10 onroad offroad tyre for the Versys. |

Thanks, but I tried it on a close friend's Versys. 2 issues - 1. The curvature is different leading to difference in handling particularly when leaning a bit 2. The wet grip sucks! What's your take? |

I had no such issues. It's the least dual purpose styled tyre from Timsun. I guess everybody's mileage varies. |

I'm curious now, has the motor you've predominantly used 300V on clocked high mileage? Asking cause some of the motors I know that predominantly used 300V have gone in for a premature rebuild. Most common area to show accelerated wear and tear was the camshaft. Regards, A.P. |

Thanks... I'll keep that in mind. in the meanwhile let's see if there is a long term opinion on the TS 822's. Given my use case i.e. (90-10 / 80-20) usage, not a fast rider (150-160 tops), need for good wet grip and 15000ish clicks of life, budget no bar - any suggestions? |

Update. Received a call from the SVC today. The technician informed me that the ABS pump is faulty. They changed the speed sensors but that did not seem to help. They did air out the break lines and replace the oil. Error code on diagnostic tool was 1505 pump issue or something like that. I will be picking up the bike tomorrow without replacing the abs pump. They said that the pump and Ecu come us a single unit and would cost 35k to replace. Will get the bike home first and look for alternate options. Not having abs is not an option. |

Did you get this fixed from KTM service or found an alternative? I found out today that my RC 390's abs pump gave up. SVC gave me a quote of 25-30K. |
