Actually, three engineer brothers form Punjab built that Gypsy-engined bike. They had originally wanted to get an 800 engine, but the Gypsy engine was more readily avalible.

Adil form Overdrive even met up with them and went for a drive, there was a detailed article in Overdrive too.

That bike was truly a monster!!!

He has not done any speed testing as of now, this is only a 4 month old project from a full time student. He has to submit the project report in 4 days to college.

NEED the specs of these mosters, nybody? for a student budget it was a wonderful attempt. though its a bit rough but hey didnt all the cars look the same while in testing phase in the early 1900's.

The battery does not seem the sealed type. So keeping it tilted runs the risk of acid spilling onto one's knee. Four days to submit the project leaves the guy hardly any time for refinement. Come to think of it, if I had set off on this project, I am not sure I could have managed even what he has. Its not just a set of items to be stacked aesthetically. The ride will surely be uncomfortable, yet, good effort, I must say.

Holy Somkes, this guy has used the M800 tranny along with the diff

One flaw is that the puts the engine to one side which means its unbalanced. (like a side engine scooter). Using a typical bike trans in tandem is the way to go.

Good effort. Needs some dressing up. Looks like a 25K job to me.

well! For a student its a job well done.. And think about it, Its not easy fitting an 800 engine onto a motorcycle frame!!

Thats fine if this is a old thread but still some one here said give him a break he is a student... i think he should have been a lil bit creative.

wasn't that the one also featuresd in the ACI or OD magazine?
They installed a suzuki engine and the rear is a car/gypsy mag wheel.
