Honda CB150R Streetfire Unveiled In Indonesia

Honda has unveiled the CB150R Streetfire motorcycle at the Jakarta Motorcycle Show. This new motorcycle will be launched in the Indonesian market soon and is meant for the Asian market only. It does draw some styling inspiration from the CB Dazzler, with the exposed frame and engine. However, more than the styling inspiration, the CB150R Streetfire shares its hardware with the CBR150R. The Honda CB150R Streetfire was showcased in 4 colors at the show – white, black, tricolor and orange (with accessories).

The Honda CB150R Streetfire is the naked version of the Honda CBR150R, which is already on sale in the Indian market. The lack of full fairing and other expensive styling elements gives the CB150R Streetfire quite a price advantage. Power comes from the same 150cc, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine which produces a peak power output of 17.6 BHP at 10,500 RPM and peak torque output of 12.66 NM at 8500 RPM. This engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Honda CB150R has the same telescopic forks at the front and linked suspension at the rear like the CBR150R.

And Yamaha unveils their naked 150!

The last two looks like more worked on Hondas and not of OE stable.

Yup, The last two models are just for 'show' purpose. The first two pics shows the bike in true form.

Re: Honda CB150R Streetfire Unveiled In Indonesia

Seriously, our Indian designs look way too better than what is pictured here! Such lousy looking designs from both Yamaha (on a different thread) and Honda!!

Thanks for just not bringing these to our shores!!!

Interestingly, the naked version has USD front forks while the faired CBR has the cheaper standard forks

Honda CB150R coming to India?

Motorbeam seems to think that the CB150R might be coming to India.

Re: Honda CB150R coming to India?

Motorbean suggests that if it is priced around Rs. 99,000 ex-showroom then it would give the pulsar 200NS a tough competition .

Really??

The pulsar 200 NS is priced at Rs. 85,000 ex-showroom, it has a 200cc liquid cooled engine producing 23.52 PS @ 9500 rpm and max torque of 18.3 Nm @ 8000 rpm.

Honda CB150R coming this Feb!

Honda recently announced an Indian offensive, promising to launch new bikes and scooters every quarter of 2013. Staying true to their word, Honda recently introduced the Dio, Activa and Aviator scooters with revised engine technology. There’s now news the next Indian Honda is going to be the CB150R streetbike, set for launch in just a few days, in February .

Great news. I am more excited about Yamaha's possible counter attack.

Naked R-15, or will it be a FZ16 with R15 engine?

CBR150 street fighter will be competing with the already existing Yamaha Vixion in Indonesia.

Will Yamaha bring Vixion to out market IMHO, No.

Re: Honda CB150R Streetfire Unveiled In Indonesia

It all depends on how well the Streetfire does.

Vixion IMO does not have even half the visual flair of the FZ16. It looks like our desi 100 cc bikes

Re: Honda CB150R Streetfire Unveiled In Indonesia

Looks good, Guess Yamaha & TVS were having a free run in the power street bike segment. Hopefully this augurs well for consumers, interestingly Hero Group seems to have gone into a shell or are they drawing schemes together With Buick?

Is it only me who sees a lot of similarity to the old ambition & achiever from the HH stable?

Honda is releasing the CB150R on 11.03

http://www.overdrive.in/details/2962...ia-on-March-11

The bike as from the pics does not look mouth watering. But being a Honda I do expect re-fineness and reliability.
