Re: Next Gen Bajaj Pulsars - SS400 & CS400 (rechristened as Dominar)

Did anyone notice?

The Dominar has got a Negative LCD Display (The Digits are illuminated and not the background).

So far we have had LCD Displays where the background and not the digits that were illuminated.

Check this link.

Two variants,

1. 35 BHP, single channel ABS, 1.8 lakhs OTR
2. 40 BHP, dual channel ABS, 2.2 lakhs OTR

I don't know how reliable their source is.

Motoroids website says the mileage expected is 35~40 Kmpl. Isn't it too good to be true for such a big mill?

If that is true, then I can certainly live with 35 BHP and ABS on the front brakes

I would say it is very much possible i have a good experience with the P220 in sensible riding it used to give around 50-55.

I have heard that KTM 390 gives around 25 if riden well.

I think we should rather be more interested in the tank capacity than fuel efficiency figure. Anything above 25kmpl is decent for a 400cc motorcycle.

A 15 litre tank and a 300km range at worst will make a great cruiser.

Rahul mentioned Gross weight. Gross wt is weight of bike + weight of 2 riders.

Assuming 70kg per person, 70 + 70 = 140 kg for 2 riders. Subtract from 320, and you get 180 kg's for the bike.

Not really, I've gotten 30-32 on two different 390's on highway runs. Of Course I had a gentle right wrist and stayed between 90-120 for the most part. I believe it can go higher if you are gentler.

Thanks Praful you made it even better for me at-least. I plan to buy a 2Minar i am sure that riding it would not burn a hole in my wallet. Thanks for mentioning the figures that you achieved.

From these pics it seems obvious that the bike gets a dual channel ABS owing to the presence of ABS ring in the rear disc too. That's a good sign.

The RS200 which has got single channel ABS has rings on its rear wheel as well.

I think the rear wheel rings are there to measure the wheel speed.

The seats look spacious and comfortable. Can't wait to take a test ride of the bike!
