Oh GOD!!! That is the ugliest angle to view the bike from. The side profile of the RTR was the strongest and TVS have successfully killed it completely!!! Why TVS why???? The headlight has been pulled up and the scoops pushed down!!

The bloke who came up with this theme/design and the bloke who approved it to be put into production both have to be shot to death!! (Going overboard i know!)

Eewww. Hideous. The current RTR is quite a good looking bike and the guys at TVS have successfully murdered its looks with the huge fairing/fake intakes and the plain looking seat. Heck, even the front indicators look so weird.

The design guys must be on some really good heady stuff while coming up with this and I am pretty sure they passed the same to top management prior to presenting the design for final go ahead.

TVS seems way to eager too nail it's very own coffin, as the lack on new models was not good enough and they further decided to kill their flagship.

This is a bit sad that they are resorting to sticker jobs and not-so-inspiring mods to keep the product going. I hope they expand their product range quickly. they seemed to be doing so many innovative things, I wonder what has happened now. One would would have thought that being pushed to no.4 would serve as a wake up call.

This looks like an April fool joke by the company who claims it's ready to race. They surely are going hero Honda way of adding variants to their same old bike.

Hope we seriously see some competition from somewhere in the range.

More pix. 180 ABS gets black color option I guess.

"TVS Apache RTR now pretty much clearly visible, gets LED DRL (Daytime running lights), slight design changes to the headlight assembly, a new sticker job and carbon fibre looks alike’s thrown around everywhere. Also noticeable is a metallic ‘Apache’ sticker on the tank fins and a sticker on the rear panels that sports the Indian tri-colour."

The metallic Apache monogram seems to be reserved for the RTR180(ABS) only going by the pics. The 160/180 still seem to have the same sticker job as the 2011 model. Nevertheless, overall, TVS has killed the design cues of the RTR.

Oh no! Such beautiful sporty bike ruined :( What's the obsession with the DRLs? Come on TVS, stop hiring Hero Honda's designers!

So much weightage is being given to two LED strips that most won't even care about. The head light from front looks very sad now.

re: TVS launching a new bike. EDIT : It's the Apache Facelift

The headlamps look heavily inspired front the Pulsar headlamp, only that they added DRLs. Also the metallic sticker on the tank is borrowed from the new Pulsar range.

The faux-carbon fibre pieces look downright cheap. Overall the bike looks hideous. Also I could see the FZ inspired black and green color scheme.

If the headlamp is the focus of the upgrade then I see some current users changing the headlamps in their current ride rather than buying the a bike.

To be very honest, if the headlight will be mounted as shown in the pics, I am happy not to have DRL's on my ride and carry on with the current set up.

Also, it might not be very easy to swap the headlight assembly as the mount points etc will most likely be different and a pain to rework on.

Thumbs down to TVS for this. I was looking forward to something interesting as TVS has had some excellent products in recent times. The Wego, Jive and the updated Apache lineup. This is some deperate measure to boost the sales for the Apache. Wonder which retard was responsible for the neat headlamp design.

There is a new push button switch on the LHS switchgear. Any idea on its function ?

That button is used to switch on and switch off the ABS.

The front cowl now has a striking resemblance to the Pulsar series. Wish they didn't make all that fuss out a small but rather hideous makeover. When is TVS gonna learn?!

Congrats TVS on making the Apache look "UGLY"!! whats more shocking is TVS is not able to come up with higher CC engine. this may impress few i mean very few college going kids!

Sad once upon a time we ot some real nice bikes from the same company!
