I am starting this new thread about me and some more Team Bhpians who participated in todays Republic Day Celebration of Bullet Motor Cycle owners.
Bullet motorcycles in huge numbers all having national flag were seen. I lost the count who participated in it.
I had made special Flag Rod and clamp fabricated and painted for my Bull.
My younger son also wanted to join the ride at the last moment.

We all got assembled at R.E. Showroom Bandra and at 9.00 AM started our ride towards Gateway Of India, passing through following areas and thumping all the way .
Bandra, Mahim, Dadar, Prabhadevi, Worli, Worli Sea Face, Haji Ali, Jaslok Hospital, Marine Drive, Regal Cinema, Gateway of India.
After few moments haltat Gateway we went to Nariman Point.
Here we had a small programme.We all sang National Antham,and after this we all proceeded back to Bandra.
I left the team at Dadar as I had some work there,others went to Bandra.
At Nariman point we witnessed that three Bullets had three colours of our national flag,in form of powder in inverted bottles pointing to their exhaust pipes and then they roared togather in same direction leaving behind a trail of tricolour fog. It was fantastic,I am uploading photos for those who missed out the event.Regards....

That is a wonderful gesture by the entire group!

Was it an official event by RE or organized by owners?

I especially like the part where the 3 Bullets spewed out the colours of the National Flag.

Iqbal Sir thank you for starting this thread.

Just a brief about how even unfolded:

1) There were many bikers who are proud owners of a Bullet who participated in this event. (We were close to 450 plus bikers today)

2) Meeting point was at the Royal Enfield showroom Bandra at 8:30 am.We left the venue at 9am sharp after forming a chain of bikers.

3) Just as we were gathering we all saw more than 30-40 Harley's assembling at the HD showroom which is just bang opposite the RE showroom in Bandra. And those guys who werent present today really missed the roaring 'n' grunty exhaust notes of these machines.

4) The organizers did an amaing job of keeping us bikers in a straight line and had taken prior approvals from the RTO & Police to pass all the red signals and keep going without any halt in between.

5) 400+ bullets all bearing our Indian flag was indeed a great sight - Every person on the road just stopped to watch us zoom past. Some of them took snaps, some captured it on videos. We saw some children, youngsters and elders who were watching us go by salute our Flag.

6) Route taken: Bandra - Mahim - Shivaji Park - Prabhadevi - Worli - Haji Ali - Pedder Road - Babulnath - Chowpatty - Marine Drive - Regal Theater - Gateway - NCPA (Nariman Point)

7) We all assembled near NCPA for a small show which Iqbal sir has already explained in his earlier post where 3 bulleters sprayed our Tri colour in the form of powders thru their exhausts. This was followed by our National Anthem

I left the group post this because I had to get back early.

Thank you for sharing this. An impressive turnout. I am surprised by the lack of helmet reinforcement rule. Many of them seem to be happy riding without one!

These chaps are off the the Rider Mania 2012 and the folks are riding all the way to Delhi. I know of some folks who are riding from Jamshedpur to Delhi as well.

great ride for sure but pathetic that so many are riding irresponsibly, without helmets. i guess our typical indian arrogance and ignorance towards traffic rules and regulations has taken over as usual.

i only wish that the patriotism shown can be accompanied with responsibility. unless of course it is a false show of patriotism that we indians are good at showing off.

Yes there were some guys without helmets and some who broke the chain formation. But if you were present and see in some snaps posted here most of them were with helmets on and followed the instructions given. I am sure it would be better organized and managed next year and the years to come. In fact I feel it is better to mention the rules and the riding gear on the site where these announcements are made so everyone is aware.

Hi Guys, this month being a wedding time two of my close biradars got married. They both are so much in love with their Bullets like everyone in our group, they opted for the baraat as well as Doli on their rides instead of those big decorated cars..

Hi Guys,This is month being good and holy for the weddings,two of my closest BIRADARS got married. These both and their wives are so much in love with their Bullets that they opted for the Baraat and Doli to be riding on their Bullets.In fact the first photo pillion rider ,she owns her own Bullets and is seen riding on it all over Mumbai.She joins us with all rides we arrange.
All baraatis were too on their Bullets. True love for the thumping ride.
